toki was hoping to finish off raoh so that ken would not finish toki off due to his illness, but raoh couldnt finish off toki due to his illness, thus leaving him to die from it rahter than taking toki's life with his own hands
@albericosa yo, rusty. dont waste your time and boasting around here if you dont like it. and dont start to treat me like some kind of noobie to Hnk. altering most every part from manga, classic Hnk really dissapoint me.
@albericosa well... i more or less agree with you, it does feel... emotionless compared to the original series, but is not that bad, i mean, its still touchy and all, but it just doesent feel as epic and tragic as the original 1980's series
@ninjaskor Yes, I think so too. But Raoh may hope to be beaten by Toki. In junior time, Toki promised to kill Raoh if Raoh did wrong. The time changed into violence free and Raoh was trying to conquer violent world with his power. He chose wrong way to control violent world, so he may hope to be beatean by lovely little brother Toki and then Kenshiro brings peace to the world. Raoh got to be a devil for the future peace. That's why Raoh is the most popular character in Japan.
@ninjaskor Raoh said many times that Toki cannot defeat him. Raoh was extremely touched when he found out that his brother has shorten his life to fight Raoh. Moreover, Toki chose to use Roah's hard style. As Raoh explained, Toki's fake hard style could have never beaten him. Toki is not stupid. I believe Toki wanted to die by Raoh's hands. These events lead Raoh said "You could have defeated with your soft style if you are not sick". Raoh was being compassionate toward his dying brother.
It would be awesome if a man like Toki could really exist, and I don't mean his power as warrior, but his wisdom, bravery and unselfishness. Toki you was the hero of my childhood.
@rolandcha but he was already sick long before the radiation poisoning cause he had a rare illness and hoped that the nuclear fallout would end his life but it didnt
@squall600 He wasn't sick before the war. He saved was afflicted with radiation poisoning because he sealed Kenshiro in the vault since there wasn't room for both of them.
But not change the story, buffness, or soundtrack to this lamer, trying to conform with modern faggot anime styles. They should be proud of the buffness of Hokuto, not try to appeal to the moronic masses. Yes not many people comprehend Hokuto, but that's because it's beyond them! Oh and not leave out important people such as Juuza, Ryuuga. Then again even the old art style was buff enough. They should have spent the money to continue the series even after 152. That would have been good.
the old series had way too many filler episodes, when the hell did shin get army bigger than roah /souther anyway. but I would like to see an updated battle between ken/ shin, rei/yuda, ken/ ryuga and roah/ juuza
Toki, il migliore in assoluto!!! T^T

Wow, the artists of this remake were lazy in comparison to the original...weaker voices too.

Raoh said that Toki "could have beat him" not that "he would beat him"
I still believe that Raoh would beat Toki even if he wasn't ill
Raoh was the most powerful brother

Why didn't Raoh finish off Toki?
tubernery 2 years ago
Mainly because Toki is Raoh's brother and because he is now so weak due to radiation poisoning that he is no longer a threat for Raoh.
rolandcha 2 years ago 5
@rolandcha besides the radiation poisoning he was already dying from a rare illness and would have no more than 5 years to live

At 4:08 who looked like Ayato Kamina.
Or various other dudes featured in the pseudo-realistic anime drawing style.
I like tha Ayato thought though. HnK reminds me a lot of RahXephon.
