Anyone who sayd dolphin is a moron. They swin with a up and down motion of their tail. This swims with a latteral motion to the tail. Due to the proxcimity to the beach I have to lean toward shark. Could be other things, like aquaman but I lean towards shark.

I'm no Marine life expert but I do know Dolphin's tail swing in a up and down motion and they do tend to move in schools.

The dark figure appeared to be moving in a side to side motion with its tail which imo looked like anything from a Tuna, Marlin or a Shark....there was only 1 way to find out, jump in

Yeah, I think it is a shark, but I wouldn't worry too much since most sharks won't attack people. Just be careful wearing a wetsuit though, cause I heard most people get attacked wearing wetsuits because the sharks think the person is a seal until the bite you and find out otherwise (at which point the damage is done)

Normally, with those other shadows present (the one just in front of him in the beginning of the video, and the one up to the right of him, as well as the one in question that supposedly shoots nearly under him) I would assume a school of sharks--like those you see off the coast of Florida or Australia but given all the circumstance my best bet would be shadows from a kite, glider or helicopter. Had they been sharks then that's a pretty neat shot. If they were then where's the rest of the video?

With the angles of the video, the direction of the surfer, the sun's supposed location and the length of the clip, I would assume that it is a shadow--more so, because the video was edited too short. If I could see more of how the surrounding environment was, with commentary on whether or not there were helicopters or other kites nearby then I could make a better judgment. There's a similar shadow just in front of the surfer at the very beginning of video and another above him to the right.

Looked like a shark to me. They often speed up when spooked by the board, and it was swinging its tail side-to-side, instead of up-and-down, like a dolphin. Plus it was smaller than an adult dolphin.
