Adrian, don't take up acting, poker or car sales, man! And to think we used to laugh at the old folks in the 70s with their play-a-long preset latin & bossa organ music centres - what's the difference?
Take your playing to next level, kids - down that is!!
I see the amps are miked up here, to get good sound I suppose. Does anyone know where or what the mic is plugged into? A mixing desk/recorder or something.
I want to know how it's done so I can make my own vids with good sound and image quality. Just like this one.
@ianrkav check out greg hilden's guitar demos. Sound is great, and I think he mentioned somewhere that he uses a line out from the amp, along with a mike placed in front of the amp, with both of these going into a cheap Beringer mixer, and from there into the camera. He's a pro gutarist and also demos/sells vintage gear. His videos have some of the best sound quality I've seen on youtube.
@itsonlyrcknroll Hey thanks for that. I'll check out his videos. He must have a fairly decent camera to handle the sound quality. I did think of the external mic but not with the line out , together going to a mixer! I'll have to look around for those 'Beringer' mixers or something similar.
dont get me wrong i own this amp for ages and it is shit. as soon as ya turn the volume past 10 o clock the tone goes i might sell it and get the spider vavle instead
I have a nice Marshall amp. My choice is either to buy this, plus the short board (which is basically needed for the looping), or a digitech jamman. Anyone got side by side testimonials or anything?
you do to effectively loop. otherwise, you have to reach down to the amp and hit the button at just the right time. you CAN physically get by without the short board, but it's like trying to play a guitar without a high E. you CAN do it, but it's a pain in the ass. I went with the jamman btw, this amp is meh.
I have one of these bad boys, and it beats the shit out of anything. I play on less than a quarter volume and the walls rattle in my house. You can play large venues with this.
oh yes!!! thats what i love about this amp. its so fking loud!! when i dare to actually max the volume i rattle the entire house.i knocked a few pictures of the wall
besides the great looping things that are great, the sound also that comes out is really nice!!!!line 6 has improved a lot since their not so older models!!!it's not compared to huge companies(boggie, marshal etc...) but still the result is COMPLETELY nice
