The Gulf of Mexico is my backyard. I have lived here all my life and my children will be faced with the devastation long after I transcend.
The fact that the Gulf of Mexico is receiving these pollutants that are toxic from upstream just adds to what is now going on with the oil spill in the gulf. I just saw the oil covered pelicans photos today and had to turn my eyes away. It is unbelievable that we as a people have allowed this to happen.
