Yes... But its important to keep the moral of troops up. if they want to have fun, keep it within reason. the grenade was in a safe place at a safe distance, they enjoyed it, and i did as well. they make enough grenades anyway. using up a grenade opens another job up for someone over here to make more.

The problem is not loss of a grenade (they are dirt cheap anyway) or potential harm from the explosion. The problem is that if it is known that grenades can go unaccounted for and that such loss is not throughly investigated, that would encourage insurgents to obtain grenades from US military (though stealing or bribery).

No system is thieft or bribery proof. If insurgents see on youtube that US grenades can go unaccounted for, that will encourage them to steal those grenades.
