you just aren't... at my school if you're a flute you have to switch to alto sax or else you can't play. because REAL jazz doesn't have flute parts.

it was ok. the size of the band caused it to sound worse. also i doubt the vudeo quality does it justice. work on rythems, style and hitting the right notes but beyond those 3 things it wasnt terribly bad. also get rid of about half the band XD

2 Alto Saxes

2 Tenors

1 Bari (Me)

3 trombones

5 Trumpets

and a drummer

My band just got that song. We have a whole bunch of trumpets, 4 altos, 2-1 tenors(me 'cept when I am forced to play piano), 4-5 flutes, a bone, a baritone, a tuba, guitar, bass, piano(me when I am forced), 2 drummers. We are alright. We are going to like Baltimore in like three weeks for a competition, and my instructor was all like, can you play piano(I ahve only been playing for 2-3 years) and its a pretty hard piece, just call me in trouble:D

i have seen the arrangement it isnt a bad arrangement, and it aint the band. The acoustics of the room in this case a gym arent friendly. Even the NSO wouldnt sound good on a recording in a gym.
