  • Actually, wasn't he unable to make the Lithium video because it would take too long to make?

  • Kurdt had a thing with eggs o.O

  • Comment removed

  • really cool man.. great job

  • love this version in the begin it sound like polly

  • what happened to Kurts' daughter? Have never seen her with Courtney in a while?

  • Haven't listened to Nirvana for a while but now I hear this again I feel ashamed.

Nirvana is a killer band and this one rocks so hard \m/

  • i fuckin love krists paints

  • i luv the egg said "IM NOT GONNA CRACK!!!!"

  • aa i love thiis song. <3

  • THIS SONG ROCKS!!!!

  • This was recorded in early april 1990 at Smart Studios, Madison, WI.

  • I don't get it at all...is this like a recreation of Humpty Dumpty or something?

  • nice cover

  • its not a cover

  • amazing video dude, thanks a lot

  • EGG LOVE

  • your vid kicks ass and the verson is good.

    but witch verson is better

  • Love the sound of the that accoustic!

  • i take it you have an egg fettish XD

  • This is awesome it's just as good as the finished Lithium!! I love it!!!

  • Do Re Mi was a request from Courtney for Kurt to write a bed time song.

  • Also, it sounds as if he's saying "rape me....don't rape me" alternately in the song. Not "Do Re Mi". I think this is one of those songs like endless nameless, where not even kurt is quite sure what words he was singing.

  • there is lyrics to endless nameless

  • It's "Do Re Mi, Don't Rape Me." But that's only the last one. The first two he was just saying "Dreams" and "Do Re Mi".

  • Except on the melodies of his songs, which he worked on until they were how he wanted them to sound, which is why his vocal takes were often identical, (he'd already worked out the exact sound he wanted), but when it came to lyrics, guitar playing, or video concepts, he didn't have the same attention span. Melody was the most important thing to him, over musicianship or ideas, and you can tell. It's not what he says that's powerful, it's the way he sang it.

  • or perhaps he just said that as his lyrics became more and more focused to get the media and the fans off his back. the apparent lyrical complexity of his last song "Do re mi" is staggering compared to anything else he ever did.

  • I hope thats sarcasm...Do Re Mi doesn't have any written lyrics. It's mostly random inunciations which have no meaning, like in the box set version of scentless apprentice, where kurt just screams random nonsense, as the band works the song out. Artists sometimes do this before writing out actual lyrics.

  • Hey man could you please send me this song by email i also have a lot of nirvana rare stuff as in bloom sub pop version and the full fecal matter demo also Nirvana Roma and some outcesticides we i could send you whatever you want

  • @RembrandtPussyhorse dude... EXACTLY!

  • Kurt Cobain was bright, but his video concepts often seemed unfinished, or just plain confusing. Like the smells like teen spirit video, or heart shaped box. His concepts usually come out like a bunch of untied loose ends. Kurt Cobain probably could have written a brilliant novel, but he never had the patience to spend a lot of time on just one idea.

  • whats Prego???

  • init wots prego?

  • that kkk chick in the heart shaped box nusic video was based off prego

  • the guitars sounded great but drums on this version sucked ballz

  • yeah thats poor old chad on the drums. he'd be fired from the band a month after this recording.

  • Chad is now playing bass and lead singing in a band called Before Cars, they have a myspace.

  • Chad wasn't actually fired, his departure from the band was a mutual decision.

  • Nice. Pretty damn good vid editing and as close to Kurt's original vision of the video as we'll ever have.

Made me smile, especially using mix 6. Awesome, man.

  • Wow, this is really cool!

  • I really liked this.

  • It sounds a lot different from the normal version of the song...

  • this is how they played it live until they released it as a single, nevermind version was drop tuned...

  • i like this version... i think that they were playing it too high so Kurt killed his voice when he was singing... in the album version the first note is D and in this one it's E

  • nicee very nice check out my videos tribute nirvana band

chequeen mis videos banda tributo a nirvana

  • Kurt made the jagstang didn't he?

  • sure did...

  • yes

  • dude that is deffinatly a jaguar at :27 if u think its a jagstang u dont know shit about guitars

  • very unique video... i sort of like this version of Lithium better but they are both cool

  • Thats Red Guitar is an Epiphone ET-270. Great Guitar

  • can you please upload the video where hes playing that red/black guitar?

    pleaseeeee

  • Is the one on Evegreen State College...? It's already here on youtube

  • link?

    hes playing with the epiphone..

  • Epiphone my ass, that's a jaguar! ;)

  • its an epiphone dude :s

  • Oh, wait, I see now, there's probably two different recordings merged together, there's an epihone, AND, when they zoom in on the guitar, (00:27), he plays the fender jaguar

  • i dunno

    but there is an epiphone....

  • He's playing an epiphone in one of the videos included, but this isn't heard on the song being played. The clean's played on his fucked up Stella with 5 nylon strings and the distorted parts are a Fender Jaguar.

  • bingo. actually this lithium version was done at the same session they recorded "polly" at. the "polly" on nevermind was the only song they didnt record in 1991, they recorded it at this session so they used the same guitar for polly as they did for parts of this lithium demo.

  • It's a fender Jagstang, not a jaguar

  • the fender jangstang wasn't even created when any of these videos were shot, do you know your history? it only started to get play a few times in '94 and then was officially released after kurt's death.

  • your right all the way man that guy dont know shit

  • thatas at freaken jag at 27 secs

  • Cool video! This lithium version is pretty great. Way more raw than the nevermind version.

  • my all time favorite version of lithium!!!i have mix 7 too!!!but just a sample of it,its sounds exactly the same, but you have to listen really careful, and you'll notice the difference!

  • awesome!!

  • Fucking Great.. I love this version from the outcesticide.. The chorus ROCKS..! "Realice the bliss, power and passion... TOTAL NIRVANA"

  • your from the LN right?

  • hell yes dude not bad at all

  • hey great, lests ttrade`my msn faridtjg

  • a most triumphant video if i do say so myself....hands down better than the offical "live footage" version....

  • Great video. I'm surprised the audio is so smoothe. I have Lithium mix 6 on one of the Outcesticide CD's, and throughout the song the audio keeps dropping out, making it annoying to listen to.

  • yeah kurt made a copy of this session for himself, this audio is ripped from a ANALOG -> FLAC transfer of that tape. everything on the outcesticides is pretty much available in higher quality elsewhere.

  • the best video i saw from nirvana

  • nice job. probably the most well thought out fan nirvana vid i've seen

  • all kurt. i just translated his idea to video.

it took a week to make though! thanks guys.

  • Dude, that was awesome.
