Whenever I find myself talking about that film I get this warm feeling like everything's going to be fine, not matter what and I listen to this song whenever I just want to dive in my mind and come out with a beautiful thing to say to my girlfriend.

@Clowdiu its like melancholy, ya know? but not in a bad way, its like i feel depressed but i'm comfortable with it. also hopeful for better times to come, etc ive always thought that was one of the themes behind lost in translation. its also a really good movie that deals with a lot of these feelings like alienation, sadness but also love, art and life

@jacobloper2 Yeah, good quality music should explore these strange paradoxical feelings like being sad but happy in the same time or lonely but in a way protected. This discussion brought in mind the last scene of American Beauty, when Lester holds his life monologue and you can hear Thomas Newman's, Any Other Name in the background. That song always gives me the goosebumps and takes me in a state of reflection as does Xtal and the majority of Aphex Twin's work. Beautiful!
