i remember when i was in high school the school i went to had bluebird flat nose buses and the one we got we messed up the school buys new buses every year but this bus was a lemon every morning the door on the bus wouldnt shut for some reason when we got to the same stop then the driver just drives with it wide open. then the stereo in it when up in flames randomly

i hate the ones that fold back when they shut my foot got caught one time....not pretty

Why are they now making most buses without a folding door now?

because the folding ones are not as safe

when they shut they can trap bookbag straps and stuff like that and then drag a student. The non folding ones do not do this.

the new ones have an automatic relase

if something is preventing the door from shuting; it opens up automatically..

i know that's how mine is neway...

This was originally equipped. All of them were origionally equipped with air doors.
