  • Cool.

  • Andrew, great videos, as a old hunter I truly appreciate how you show that nothing is wasted. We true hunters and trappers have taken a lot of heat from the tree huggers and PETA, who think we are like the idiots who just kill animals to look macho. Keep up the good work, be safe I'm sure your parents are proud of how well you are doing.

  • Hey bud, when are you going to pop out another vid?

  • hey andrew you wouldnt wanna helping hand on that trap line would ya? lol id love the chance to work on there for a few weeks ill even bring some traps along to help out i dont mind throwing in some hard work and it would be worth it to learn some trapping tricks from a grand master diract decendent of the oringinal jack pine savage...lol jk but a great trapper non the less..

  • I really like your videos. One little bit of obstructive criticism would be...., please don't take Jesus' name in vain. He died for all of us and loves us unconditionally. You do a great job trapping and surviving in the cold. Good luck and keep the videos coming.

  • were is this in canada

  • @LoganBuck101 North West Territories

  • you got some great videos man! really enjoy them!

  • Another great video buddy did you say that, that joe guy made them i really like that one skinning knife i have a browning wind river with gut hook they came out afew years back i stop off at basspro in toronto before heading to timmins because i also lost my first one and bought the last one they had in the display glass i really dont no how good it is but i really like it alot my buddies know they can use what ever they want just dont touch the knife because ill never find one like it again

  • This is why in interior Alaska you have to buy a trapping line off of the guy before you, he cut the line himself. Or you can cut it yourself.

  • Hey man great video thanks for the caribou hunt it was a good change of pase. Stick with it man some day you will get that show! This video was one of my favorites!

  • awesome caribou kill man

  • This set of videos reminds me of when I used to wait for the next show when I was a kid. Been a long time since I looked forward to watching something every week. Keep up the good work. Thanks.

  • dude.............i envy you. livin the dream if you ask me doobiesnbeer i dig that

  • Great channel Andrew!!! I get a kick out of every video. Im going to start trapping coyotes, they are hard on the deer population. We call and shoot them but they get smart quick. Right on man keep up the video footage those lynx and wolverine are nice lookn critters.

  • I grew up trapping and hunting, then I got a good paying job in the city. I have regretted it for twenty years now. I envy you, and your way of life. I wish I could walk away from this rat race and go back to the simpler life. Keep these videos coming, I am living vicariously through you!!!

  • Great vid Keep them comming---Your A heck of alot better than you get off "the Tube" cause your REAL. Thanks Rich

  • do you guys just use 22 cals

  • @ranchruler anything bigger and you would do some serious damage to any game you catch on the trap line.

  • @ranchruler A .22 is what I call damage control especially when you want to get the most out of the fur and meat for medium to small animals

  • Very nice cats man...and beautiful lookin knives as well. Wish you continued luck on your lines man, well done!

  • Another great video shoot.

I like those Linx. Hope to see a wolf carcass soon.

    Cousin Quentin brings good luck.

Take it easy on that bottled poison guy's.

    Good strong coffee's my favorite.

  • for muskrat411: thank you for the compliment. i don't do things for advertizment or glory at my age[70]. andrew needed good knives and i had some. only time i have ever volunteered my blades. certain people deserve these helping gestures and we should look for them and help. now that i've done i feel good and may do it again...my cherokee great grandma is probably smiling..peace to all joe in ny

  • another awsome video man..

  • I love your videos. I just wish you would not use so much vulgar language. You would garner so much respect!! LOL this language is what I was used to when I worked construction years ago. But honestly, your awesome, could be more awesome! I know it for sure. take care my friend.

  • Hi,

I'm a trapper from southern Manitoba. I enjoy you're videos, can't wait for the next one.

    Nice rack on the caribou.

I ship all my fur to NAFA in Winnipeg. I was wondering if there is a NAFA fur collector in Hay River?

I designed a trap setter for the 330 down to the 120. I could send you one via that collector if and when he comes to Winnipeg.

Thanks again for the videos! Jason

  • great video man!

  • Andrew I hate to keep bugging you, but I know a lot of us are waiting to here how well you made out on that beautiful wolverine you bagged in Trapping Tales 6. That was a beauty.

  • @chahnable i think it is rather impolite to ask the man about money,,

  • @chahnable it turned out just great i will be keeping that pelt for a hat i think.

  • @TheWildNorth hey andrew in some of your vids u have cought animals and your snares are twisted almost into. my ? is have u ever used swivels in your snares

  • i love these videos im 13 and i recently started trapping i learn alot from these videos.

  • Wonderful video just like always!

  • hey how do u make videos? i mean like where u upload them do u have internet?

  • @darrkitx11 i upload in town no internet at my cabin

  • I put coyotes in plastic bags for a half hour before skinning. No lice or no seeums chewing me up. I like how you say "its a long walk back if the fucking sled breaks down". Ha Ha, Part of the lifestyle up in your country. People don't realize the risks or the effort it takes to do what you do. We have the same problem down here with getting stuck. "Its a long fucking walk when you bury that pickup 4 or 5 miles from the main road" Ha Ha, Did it before and hate it.

  • Hi Andrew,

Just wanted to say congrats on the woodland caribou.

    I bet great eating.

I really miss moose meat myself.

You need to let us know want Lynx taste like I haven't tried it yet.

Tried most of the other critters running around the north but not Lynx.

    Take care stay safe.

    Phil

  • @Pippip3030 i will make a cooking video on preparing and eating lynx meat before my seasons over its on my list of things to do just havent got around to it yet been real busy

  • i am always glad to see another video of yours. excellent as always. Can you show your brush cutting tool again. I have never seen one like it. is it homemade? what is this hung over bit? Must be cousin leading you astray. too bad about your boat. I did not know it went down. do you like caribou meat better than moose?

  • @assessorcoyoteman its called a Canadian Brush Axe its a great axe for cutting small trees and brush good for a tree 3 or 4 ince diametre one swipe its down yeah woodland caribou meat is hard to beat

  • Thanks for the new video! That caribou looked nice and fat, I bet it was good eating!

  • doesnt the bug spray effect the pelt?

  • @thehunter7876 no absolutely not does not effect the pelt

  • is that cuzzin's new sled, that longtrack deal with the light facing backward? NICE !!

  • AWESOME video again man finaly some nice martens and lynx !

  • whats Lynx taste like?

  • @MrSeamus1964 I bet lynx tastes like your local chinese restaurant's cuisean,we got one here called moon palace

  • Awsome vid andrew!!!! your one hell of a guy to take time and share your expirences with us. I only wish i could get back in the bush like that.

  • Brother, when YOU say it's cold, it's gotta be balls ass cold! Nice Caribou! Lots of good food! Thanks for another great vid!

  • @stayingawake20 oh swede man it was some cold that morning!

  • Great video man! Rock on!!!

  • Camera is a little bitched for some of this video. What do you use?

  • awesome stuff buddy thanks

  • Always look forward to the trapping tales and such. Rock on.

  • Awesome job Andrew. Nice Knives! Right on man.

  • Hey there bro, you are living my dream life eh. Seeing those critters (bear, beaver, moose and caribou, makes me damned hungery . So how does the lynx taste? Haven't tried any. Please keep up the videos , fucking love them. It helps to forget how shity the hunting is here in southern Minnesota. I miss being able to walk all day hunting and not be worried about if you are going to be arrested for trespassing. And be able to take, what ever opportunity presents itself for supper.

  • Another excellent piece of work Andrew and Quinton. You seem to be catching more Marten this season. I appreciate that in most of your video's you spare us close-up shots of the kill shot. As a trapper I think that we all prefer the animal to be dead when we arrive, but sometimes that is not possible, and it is not enjoyable to me to have to shoot an animal in a trap. I think some anti-trappers think we enjoy it, but it is just part of it. In the old days I know my dad used a paddle as a club

  • @chahnable yeah man i prefer any fur bearer to be dead in a coni or a snare.i get no joy from shooting a lynx i prefer them do be dead and frozewn in a snare.

    thanks fro commenting

  • @chahnable one day I asked my Father in-law why he always had a broken oar in the the boat , his reply was "those beaver are hard to kill you know." meaning he would break the oar killing the beaver and it was always a while before it get replaced.

  • Tundra is a good machine eh!

    keep stacking those lynx up!

Nice to see you starting to go after the marten, good money for such a small critter.

    Wolves have left your area?

  • @TheSkinking yeah wolfs havent been around in a while i got 3 bait stations and 20 wolf snares out waiting for them to return to the area this time i will be ready and waiting for them!

  • Don't the fleas die after the body of the host has frozen?

  • @smallblockfuelie nope they dont you would think they would but they just go into hibernate mode the same as putting a moth or housefly in the freezer for a day or two take em out thaw them they come back to life

  • another great vid Andrew,,hey,do them caribou migrate through your area this time of year or do they yard up and hold tight until fairer weather,,,thanks for taking some time to answer some of the many questions that people post...................JEFF

  • Minus 34, hooooo baby! The goddam air'll kill you up in the NWT, or if it's feeling friendly, just bite in and cause some pain. Keep that Skidoo running, man. All the best.

  • Hey Andrew, great video!! looks like that caribou will keep you fed for a bit, nice set of knives you guy got, what a great gift, looks like the man knows what he is doing, hope they work well for you,all the best.

    Greg.

  • Good harvest! Great video!

  • how long does it take you to upload a 20;00 video? please reply,

    thanks

  • @dean14111 varies based on internet speed.

  • @dean14111 3 or 4 hours sometimes longer

  • Congrats Andrew on your first caribou of the year, never ate caribou before, is it similar to moose or deer? Does your friend Joe have a website on the computer advertising his knives, does an awesome job crafting them. Well glad to see another video up, enjoyed it as well. Miigwetch.

Also you friend Trev, what is the name of his site, would love to watch his videos also.

  • u eat lynx what does it taste like

  • @trapperadam1 Chicken!

  • I love your videos!

  • Super video. Looks like the snows are holding off a bit. Man I cant tell you much fun it is to see your vids. Tell Joe we'd like to him at your place for a visit next season. Looks like one hell of a bladesmith. Be safe!

    David

  • do you leave anything for the bears?

  • very nice how long will he last the family.

  • what caliber do you hunt big game with?

  • @snowsniper8 25-06 ruger

  • sweet vid man. keep it up

  • Hey Andrew, glad to see you have posted another informative video. I was starting to have withdrawals. I hope your new trial brings you much success! Wondering if we could see some recipes for the lynx???

  • @1serb ill do a video on preparing cooking and consumeing lynx meat sometime soon!

  • WHat do you about the blood that gets on the fur bro?

  • @ShawnCFarm wen it drys it combs out sometimes i wash it off

  • Great video as always, i keep checking every weekend for a new video........really enjoy them

  • grats on a nice bou hopefully the trapping season is treating ya good

  • great vid andrew

  • congrats andrew great vid.filling the smoke shack is always good.keep them lynx a comeing.great season keep it going .peace

  • Does Joe have a website or can you provide a link to him

  • @gpsrobert1 my email is droppoint1@hotmail.com...you tube is emmamae1100

  • Which do you prefer? The .17 or the .22 mag? You now seem to be using both.

  • @mushercdn it depends what i am hunting i have both i prefer my .17 hmr i have a few rifles and i use most of them just depends on a lot of things the 22 mag is a nice rifle especially for wolfs. the .17 hmr i prefer for dispaching animals in traps

  • Hey Andrew, i love the vids. Sorry to hear about losing your knives. Just a thought, you can get a powerful magnet and maybe try dragging the section of the river to find your grandfathers knife. It might be worth a try. I know i would hate to lose my grandfathers knife. keep up the gr8 vids brother. I was gonna ask if you ate any of the Linx meat...thanks for sharing that info.

  • @HillbillysNdaBush theres too many rapids in that area the water is rough and in spring the ice will drag that box with all my equiptmant way down river so retrieving my tools will most likely never happen

  • Looks like your still having good luck on the line. The last linx you caught in the foothold trap.Is that trap a #2 size? or is it bigger? Iam sorry to hear that your boat sank! I must of some how missed that. And that was damn nice of JOE to make and send you the knives.Well you cousin and charlie stay warm. And good luck on the line!

  • @rednecklowlife its a #3 coyote softcatch

  • im such an idiot - im thinking "how is he gonna get a caribou back to camp to skin & butcher it??" obviously its done on the killing site.. great stuff, keep it coming!!!

  • @PEEKProductionsTOR yeah man butcher them were they fall sometimes if i am close to my cabin will take the guts out and throw him in the sleigh whole and butcher him back at my cabin. but most times it easier and better to butcher on the kill site it dont take too long to butcher a woodland caribou there a lot smaller then moose
