I watched this movie when I used to do coke....and I did even more while watching!!! :p - Might not ever see a movie where the hero snorts a bump and kicks everyone's ass!!!!!!! lol
I first watched this movie when I was like 8, my mom forbade me from watching it again... I did it anyway because I didnt finish watching it the first time... This song really stood out in my fragile young mind.

I absolutely adore the movie "Superfly".......not so much for the lifestyle it showcases, but the time period (the early 70's) it so accurately re-creates. These were my formative High School years, when I was a very impressionable young man. Even then, I had the presence of mind to realize that drugs......and the individuals who sold & personally abused them.....were the WRONG direction I wanted to steer my life. But the WARDROBES, the HAIRSTYLES, the CARS.....they WERE something to behold!
co workers of mine put this video on and then later commented that yes pushin was a dirty business but like others have said here they did it with style and this is a time when drugs were drugs pure and rich, not like drugs today he said drugs today is simply trash. his words his experience and he talked to me about this video and its reality peace to all here
someone good at changing vids should put obama's face in place of the really light skinned black guys in this vid (the guy with fro and long overcoat/big round hat), itd be hilarious
Thank God, no flippin' hoods on the heads! lol! They DRESSED UP back in the day to push! Okay, just joking, it's bad stuff, but ya' gotta love the flashy image....
"You know got this fantasy in ya head about getting outta the life and setting that other world on its ear. What the fuck you gonna do except hustle? Besides pimpin and you really aint got the stomach for that." Jay Z put this on his intro on his album American Gangsta
Hell ya, legallize that marijuana, alcohol is way more destructive than the herb! No one comes home to beat their wife when they are baked. And i agree, i wouldn't use heroine if it was legal either lol.
Yes, we should legalize marijuana. The money we spend on the war on drugs is a joke! We could be actually making money from taxing it. Maybe even balance the budget! And all the crimes associated w/it would disappear. Now, let's see if this response disappears. I've posted it 3 times now! To say marijuana is a class A narcotic, like cocaine & heroin is nonsense! That was Reagan or Nixon who made mandatory life sentences for drug users, while releasing killers! I hope this happens in my lifetime!
@keaster55 if you really appreciated marijuana you wouldnt want it legalized. Im all for decriminalizing, and making medicine legal, but as a consumer product, it become like cigarettes; completely fucked. big brands would come along and use really weak shit and put in a shitload of chemicals that you dont need. not to mention itd be overpriced, and these brands would probably get laws passed so that you couldnt grow it yourself or sell shit other than theirs etc.
Well, I new some guys in the 70's that found government marijuana & it was terrible! But California has a vote coming up to make it legal to even grow in your backyard! It probably won't pass, but the governor wants it taxed in the medical marijuana clubs for the taxes it will bring in to their depressed economy. And how can they tax it if you grow your own for your own personal use?
That's the truth... Mary Jane gives us ideas and perspectives our governments don't want us to have, because then we say: fuck work and all that other crap, let's just smoke weed and chill out, watch some movies, listen some music... :)
I worked all the time I smoked pot. Not before work or during work, but at the end of the day to calm down. Was able to think about things I said & if I had offended anyone, I would apologize. They think people wouldn't be as vibrant. There's alot of vibrant people doing bad things, like murder, rape etc. These guys should smoke pot & stay home & watch TV! & I worked my ass off! I get a feeling of accomplishment by working. Not all pot heads say fuck work. You gotta pay for it, so you gotta work

Damn, I was 6 years old when this movie came out. I've never seen this movie in it's entirety only in parts.........same thing with Shaft.
