I have a morkie named Charlie. I got her when she was eight weeks old and dark brown/blonde. She's six months old now. She's a strawberry blonde color with dark ears and beard, a white belly/chest, and the top of her head is white. My brother bought her brother. His name is Remy, and he was originally all black. Now he has a white streak down his back and a red beard. Did your Charlie change color at all? Her vet said it was normal, but I'm curious if other morkies do it too.

@Maierhoffer2 Thanks for the post! No, our Charlie never changed color! He still has the same white patch on his chest/neck and his white ugh boots! :) He has, however, aged some. He has some grey/white hair beginning to show through his black coat. I noticed it start to show up when my daughter began to walk, thus chasing him around the house. :) Poor guy!

hello I just got my morkie 3 days ago. She is 9 weeks and almost 3 pounds. And she is doing great with the potty training. I have questions about the other training like sit, lay down and etc. She just moves so fast. Would she be able to learn fast? And is your Charlie good with the other dogs and kids? thanks

@MissMoPearls I'm glad to hear you got a Morkie! Charlie was a quick learner too when it came to potty training.  We never taught him anything else though like sit, lay down, etc. He is GREAT with kids of all ages. I'm a youth pastor so I have students around a lot. Charlie is great with all of the students and they seem to love him. I also have a 20-month old daughter, and Charlie is wonderful with her! Even when she pulls on him, tugs at his tail, etc., he has NEVER once snapped at her!

I always wondered what the tail looked like. Our got his docked when he was super-little. How big is your dog now? How many pounds? That would be awesome if you could post an up to date video of Charlie so we can see his growth.

I am going to be picking up my morkie on the 13th of December and he is the same coloring as this one. We were told by another morkie owner that he was going to turn all white. I don't believe this considering he barely has any white on him at all. This isn't true is it?

I have a little girl Morkie who has the exact same coloring! I notice that several others have said the same thing. How odd they should so often present with a white chin and chest patch. She is my little gem. Bijou is almost 7 months old now, and weighs just over 4 lbs.

The normal ones grow to be between 6-9 lbs. They have "tea cup" puppies that come from really small parents..and those are like 3lbs. Our dog is now 6 months and weighs 5 pounds. He won't get much more bigger than that. A Morkie is a mix between a yorkshire terrior and a Maltese. They're very cute dogs, and our Charlie is super fun and energetic...yet a great lap dog when we sit and watch TV. Hope this helps!

My dog is about 5 1/2 years old. But she still acts like a puppy. She likes to run around and try to jump on people's laps. She can't, though. She's too short. Just about 6 pounds and short legs.
