My dad ( Paul Brodsky) played with Charlie as well In the early 80's as a second guitarist. I recently bought him the vinyl record of Innocent Bystander.
I worked with a Charlie Midnight in the late 70's in a band called The Midnight/McCrae Band with Jeff McCrae. I played guitar. They were an awesome band. Great tunes. Sorta like Hall and Oates meets Bruce Springsteen. Still remember the names, 'Brighton Nights", "Borderline", GREAT stuff. Wish I could get in touch with Charlie. Not much on the net. He worked with Dan Hartman. Wonder what he's doing these days.
Always loved that song....used to blast it throughout Jack laanne health spa at the Biltmore hotel at 43rd and Madison back in the day before Charlie wrote living America for my old bud Sly. . if u readin' this Charlie...Wass up brother

Thanks, Squeezel, for informing me about Phil Grande
as the man behind the great guitar solo on this song.
