  • LONG LIVE KAREN RITUCCI!!!!....FOREVER AND EVER!!!... THE MEMORY HAUNTS ME ...SO CAN I RUN NO CAUSE SOMEHOW IT ALWAYS BRINGS ME BACK TO THEN WHEN WE WERE JUST US... MISSING YOU YVONNE PARKER & KAREN RITUCCI & STILL LOVING YOU RAY OGLESBY (JEREONE)

  • Alison Moyet`s voice is spectacular!!. This is a very great song!!

  • Many thanks for the posting-a great song indeed-I remember it in 1983 so well!

  • One of the best songs ever.To me it travels me back to my best childhood memories...I would really like to see in a newer version by their creators...

  • Th 80s were the supreme decade for pop music. I was only 8 when this song was out but I remerber it well...

  • This is such a beautiful song. It reminds me of a much simpler time.

  • Great song, but a dodgy haircut from Vince Clarke!

  • Great song

  • great song . love it <3 :)

  • vince clarke - one of the best songwriters - ever.

crikey the 80s were special .

  • "...everything's gonna be fine for a long time..." all heart & thyroid's should have the 80's CHEERS Alf & Mr. Bell

  • voice of 80s pop,a true emotional performer, theres not not many who can belt them out like Alison-one minute, and then caress your yhoughts with a ballad the next-pure class, and long may she continue,,

  • WTF, who the hell gave it a thumbs down???!!!!

  • @hrdomagas

Some guys who expect a perfect body instead of a perfect voice.

Some guys who expect a perfect video instead of a perfect song.

Vince Clarke is the men who grounded Depeche Mode and Erasure. Even in the soundy 80's he was an outstanding music talent! And Alison Moyet - damned, listen to that great voice!

  • Yes, 80's music were great. Alison Moyet voice is amazing, and who gave it a thumb down?

  • who are the 3 fools who gave this a thumbs down

  • @robotechian23rd They know nothing about good music.

  • @robotechian23rd probably justin bieber fans who wouldnt know good music if they heard it and prefer the warblings of pubescent teenagers.

  • the 80´s are the best !!! yazoo, depeche mode , pet shop boys duran duran , new order , bobby O, david bowie, tears for fears, information society, all very good!!!!

  • great song! form me the best of yazoo.. e real 80' song!! my, our age! the best! thanks post!!!

  • beautiful song IMO one of there best.

  • @ Randomiuy

Vince wasnt gay and neither was his boyfriend lol :-) hah hah

  • Reagan was against socialism and big government, which made him the exact opposite of the national socialist workers party of Aldolf Hitler. The debt that Reagan incurred brought down the big government socialist rulers of Russia. As for being for anti-fun, I think a close look at the wreckage caused by crack use will make that alligation to be exactly what it is, sophomoric.

  • does anyone care about comments?

  • This was one of the songs played at this seasons Burberry fashion show!

  • classic. alison voice is so great and she's a 80's icon

  • they were awesome

  • Ah, the original! - this is where the EMOTION always was! (Just watched the NYC Terminal 5 clip and where WAS it there!?) Perhaps the passion and the angst were confiscated at customs :)

1983 - I was 10 or 11 and this was cool on the ears.

2010 - I'm 37 and this is just sublime pop in its perfect place in history and in my heart.

I shall be karaokeing this tonight, if indeed that is a verb.

  • alison sounds like a man and vince is gay

    true story

  • what a fuck are you gadjo dilo eh?

  • @kastriothoxha no im not im just an 80s fan

  • Comment removed

  • @randomiuy

Vince wasnt gay mate and neither was his boyfriend hah hah :-)

  • "the story remains the same if you take a look!, true. Now im really depressed, but i guess the beer make me better. Sincerely good tune.

  • Essex boy and girl done good!

  • Great

  • One good thing 80's band, is that even though it was short lived, both Allison and Vince made unforgettable music in 80's. It's one of my favorites and all time classics!!! Awesome song!!!!!

  • Cracking song, they did some very catchy tunes. Thanks for posting.

  • Ahhh...such sweet music!...There is an actual tune...some chords...and melody...unlike the ghetto-thug-I-can't-read-better-than-a-5th-grader-and I-am-proud-of-my-crimnal-record-and-I am-a-welfare-recipient-and-my-daddy-was-shot-in-a-drive-by-shooting manure on the radio nowadays

  • Awesome song from Yazoo. Hear this before in 1988 and still sounds great unlike today's pop that is so full of trash.....

  • such a beautiful song..

  • great song, great voice. very under rated, vince clarke is a superb musician

  • This is basically perfect pop. I mean you cannot fault this record. It's catchy but it's not in any way cheesy. It's just a great song.

  • thx for posting

  • Wow.Now Nostalgia for these great 80's songs and going to da gay discos whee this music was played.I miss Losangeles!

  • I must have been 13 when this was out, still sounds good now!

  • you're right

  • Is that singer Alison Moyet? It sounds so like her!

  • yes and the man is vince clarke who teamed up with andy bell to form the group erasure alison moyet was more successful as a solo artist

  • Can't beat that voice no way no how. Not showing off. Not trying to impress you with how many high notes she can hit.

  • she is the bollecks and you are correct her voice cant be beat she is amazing

  • OMG thank you sooo much for posting this. Awesome!

  • A beautiful tune from 1983.

  • A lovely talk show chat, Alison in 2009-

on youtube: Paul O'Grady Interviews Alison Moyet October 2009

  • Under-rated.

  • The 80's were great, accept for a debt causing, anti-fun, semi-nazi president or two- but hey, you can't have everything. The music was great, the overall style of everything was awesome, and I miss it a lot. The kids today don't know what they are missing. Hey, if anyone out there wants to help me build a Flux-Capacitor, give me a call. My time machine is nearly finished, and I have room for one more in my Delorean, if you don't mind squeezing in next to my dog.

  • Hey, Im with you Dr. Brown. Lets save the Clocktower!

"Last night Darth Vader came down from the planet Vulcan and told me that if I didn't ask Lorraine to the dance, he'd melt my brain."-George McFly

  • I'm a kid from today and I know what I'm missing... I love the 80's and I could listen to them all the time . (:

  • @tellsitlikeitis1234 Couldnt agree more, sadly cant assist with the flux capacitor. I'm holding out instead for someone from the future building one but seriously doubt they'll come back to 2010. I certainly wouldnt - it would be 1985 all the way!

  • @tellsitlikeitis1234 I will help you out if you give me a place on board. Is Doc coming along as well? I would give up everything i have if i could have those days back. It was certainly a great decade, no political correctness, new romantics, Maggie and Ronnie ruled the world, Michael Jackson was still black, big hair, great music, great tv . Do you mind if i come along wearing my polka dot ra ra skirt, my "frankie says" t shirt and my leg warmers? Happy happy days.

  • @tellsitlikeitis1234 semi-nazi? You are obviously an idiot who doesn;t even comprehend what a facist is. You wish you had a leader like RWR today. Who is tyring to nationalize every industry today? Certianly not Reagan. I think you need to review history/facts. You sound like a product of our public education system! My sympathies.

  • @tellsitlikeitis1234 love and peace my friend

  • @tellsitlikeitis1234

reagan/bush? yea, i'm 26, but the younger kids are sadly ignorant....everything you said about traveling back is like word for word what i was thinking! i crack delorean jokes all the time(plus they're just bitchin cars period)

  • Pure Biss, glad i was a teenager when this was in the uk charts...great times
