  • long story short: in Material editor (hit M), load your .png. Where it says "Mono Channel Output," radio button click Alpha. Then next to "show end result," click goto parent. Scroll down to maps. Check opacity, click none, and load your .png. Render. Thumbs up.

  • @DreamCastrsDuel Where does it say Mono Channel Output in the map menu load out in max? thanks this is annoying me now...

  • @mikezx2 If you were able to load the .png in the diffuse slot, you'll see "Mono Channel Output" in the Bitmap Parameters roll out.

  • incase anyone else having problems with moon kin if ur alpha bits are seprate object copy the material and ad dit to the alpha object thing and add the opacity and then u wont have hole sin ur moonkin :P (using m2 importer)

  • how do i do the opposite with the white. when it comes to hair and eye lashes. It's better to fade off the white. I tried to invert it after i went to curves but it didn't work.
