@Brooklynite I think your putting to much emphasis on the audience's reaction. Don't you listen to her interviews, PI audiences are more reserve then the US audiences. The same with Japan audiences. So it doesn't mean they don't like her performance. I thought they were pretty vocal in showing their affection didn't they? Watch the last part they were rocking with Charice and also most of them bought the more expensive tickets. Front/Mid seats are exp.tix as per the concert hall diagram.

Right Rusty, just like what Josh Groban once said "If she learns to nurture and preserve her unique voice there's no telling how great her future would be". Lets face it singing 12 to 15 consecutive songs is not easy. And by how she conciously changing arrangements to her songs which we know they are hard to sing, she could perform in more concerts. I bet her concert in Japan we'll see a different kind of arrangements. Similar to the 5 song free concert in Japan early Oct.

It's irrelevant that Charice isn't belting for a philippine audience. As you can see in the video there is hardly any appreciation for her in her home country. But when she's in front of american audiences that give her standing ovations, that's when she puts in 100%

Charice grew up learing to belt out those songs. It got people's attention. Now that she is well known, she doesn't have to do that anymore. Why hurt her voice if she can help it. It doesn't take away anything from her talent if she decides to change the way she sings. Once a fan always a fan no matter what, and I am a fan to the end and beyond.

I say give her time to find her musical style. With her personality and talent, I bet when she finds it she'll be awesome and original. I'm pretty sure that even ten years from now, she will belt out a Whitney in a concert once in a while and each time it'll still be O_O

I believe her voice really changed but it's really better, for me. It's great, actually. Having her own style makes her stardom endless. A lot of Filipino people may question her for not belting out anymore but then, it's a nice move, in my own opinion. She will write her own history in the music industry and will not forever sing the songs of others. Whatever it may be, I respect all your opinions. But mine is, she is dope and she will definitely last in the business. Such the one to beat.

I kind of agree to some degree that the impact Charice leaves at a concert even with just two great songs is enough to fill my senses,this time,I am just glad she is moving on.Of course,this is her first and theres a lot of improvements to be made, specially when spending big bucks (PH) .Going back to David Foster's advice ," Good is the enemy of greatness ",every performance of an artist has to be great ,not good.Yet, I do love Charice,that's why I do support her to the max .
