why do you have the air intakes on the fenders? Why wouldnt you use the stock air vents behind the rear windows and not have random holes in your fenders? Over all AMAZING tho, i wish i could afford to do something like this to my beetle.

@TJDTaylor the stock air vents behind the window don't receive any fresh air at high speed like the air intake in the guard does.

I know because I already tried that.

Nice. I suspect you only drive it when its not raining, given that the air intake is pointing upward.

@ro63rto Air intake is sideways, car has been driven & raced in torrential rain. Water is not a problem.

No point in a car that u cant' drive in the rain.

Standard Beetle 1st & 2nd gears are already course teeth, there is no need to change them for my application

Im thinking about an EJ20 Trubo.

But i hear from some ppl that u have to replace the stock transmission.

While i love the 4 speed. Got somthing special if u ask me. :D

Please share a bit info about the engine size..

The engine is a Subaru WRX turbo aka EJ20T. gearbox is stock vw 4 speed with kombi 3rd & 4th gears as they are stronger than beetle. Conversion has been going now for over 7 years & has done 203'000klms (126'000miles) seems to work OK.

How is the cooling system laid out? Dose the intake in the fender work well, like, do you think you get a ram air effect? I would think this could even work for a FI. N/A engine. Looks very clean, nice job!

Syandard VW 4 speed with Taller VW Kombi gears. My 4th gear is taller than a WRX 5th gear. More than strong enough if u are a smooth driver.
