Man, they don't air the older (a.k.a. better) episodes of The Simpsons anymore.

Now it's mostly just the newer episodes.

I remember sometimes seeing the shot of Homer (all bandaged up) falling into the gorge & the stretcher falls & hits him on the head.

This was indeed 1 of the best Simpsons episodes ever.

1 of my personal favorites right up there with Tree House of Horror I, Bart vs Thanksgiving, 1 fish 2 fish red fish blow fish, Airshow, The X Files episode & Homer vs New York.

@RandomMindz Actually, this was the cut when the episode premired. That shot with Homer getting hit with the stretcher was added in later as part of a flashback from a later episode. I know this because I still have this episode from a VHS recording when it first came out.

Actually, the clip of the gurney falling on him in his 2nd fall was never a deleted scene. Neither did 14jaybruce forgot to add it. That 2nd fall was added to the Simpsons 137th episode where Troy McClure was shown bloopers, outtakes, etc. on that episode. :)

My favorite part is at 1:26. What kind of idiot ambulance driver just drives into a tree about 10 feet (I'm guessing) in front of the vehicle? I can't stop laughing at that part, no matter how many times I rewind and watch it again. Bonus points for Homer falling down the gorge a SECOND time. Thumbs up to whoever came up with this hilarious scene. Simply put, one of the FUNNIEST EVER.
