  • beautiful people

  • vive larevolution

  • I love Gambia.

  • Please, can someone tell me which other african countries is more better to visit with sense of humor citizens? Iemonblossoms, let me know if Mauritius and seychelles is good to visit?

  • You would go down great in the seychelles the have no sence of humor

  • Hi people, i've been to Gambia last year summer 2008, I lodged in Oasis hotel in SeneGambia, but it's a pitty that when you asked some waiters to bring food for you, they will be looking at you as if you made them remain in poorverty, though i'm a nigerian, but i've found out that all these primitive muslim african countries like Gamia and Senegal should move their asses to visit other libral christian countries so they can learn.

  • biafranbornnigger - It was because you are Nigerian man!

Gambians are some of the best people in Africa and they just can't do enough for you. I've been to Nigeria and I had the worst time of my life - it was very dangerous and the people are so loud, greedy and arrogant, so NEVER again!

Senegal and Gambia is where your heart can run free and be at peace and the pace of life is so wonderful.

    Don't go near Nigeria!

  • Idiot!

  • me gusta GAMBIA, HE IDO CUATRO VECES

  • Hey Dudes!

The Gambia is great...all you need is to handle it. The culture of course is different. And tourism ist strong...but when you travel up country, you will see the real gambia. I spent 1 year in mission there. :)

  • well put dude

  • Anyone going to the Gambia, expect more hassle than most places, but also expect a warm welcome, plenty of hot sunshine, nice beaches, and great local food. Looking forward to going back.

  • good comment lemonblossms gambia is a bit like spain not every ones cup of tea. Keep finding new places and people . Kind regards tothepike

  • Yes, I admit some people can't deal with the hassle, but I think you have to go with an open mind. When I was last there, there were people who couldn't deal with the hassle, and they let it ruin their whole holiday. Advice to anyone travelling, just keep repeating, No if you're not interested without being nasty. It's an either love or hate place. I think if people read up more on the Gambia before they go they would have a better idea of what to expect....happy travels!

  • Do you really expect to go to another country and be treat like a native? Thats the stupidest thing ive ever heard.

You need a reality check, seriously! I actually find your post realy offensive and partially racist.

  • hi bio welcome to the real world

  • Anybody thinking of going to The Gambia make sure you like being hassled everytime you go out and expect to get charged much more than the Gambians charge each other in the shops.

I would not have bothered if I had known how bad it would be. There are much nicer places to go with a lot less hassle.

  • Hi andyirwin thanks for your comment you are so right. It takes away the enjoyment of a good holiday we would not go back again. TOM

  • Don't you do your homework before you travel to a certain country. Of course their going to charge more to tourists. It't still cheaper than a lot of other places. Gambia has to be appreciated for what it is and not compared to other places. Yes you get hassled a lot but so what, that's to be expected. Just be firm and say NO! You have good weather, it's unique, the local food is fantastically tasty, if you go to the right places.

  • The people are friendly and welcoming.. you can have a laugh and a joke with the local. What more could you want..

  • Yeah I have been to the canaries and it was crap. I own a place in Spain and that is fantastic. I went to Mauritius in 06 and that is the best place in the world. . As for the Spanish people they don't like English people that make no effort to speak Spanish and they are a bit rude about that. I was in Spain for Christmas and it was ten times better than Gambia. The lucky lucky men selling fake dvd's etc remind me of the Gambians. It's whatever floats your boat I suppose.

  • I've been to many other Spanish Islands & tried a different Island this time and it was just ok. I do Speak a little Spanish and I just don't take to Spain. I'm going on my 2nd around the world trip in May so I've been to a lot of exotic places. Gambia isnt my favourite place on earth & I've been hassled in a lot of other countries not just the Gambia...I think

  • you're better sticking to Spain I think......lol

  • Go to Benidorm on a Fully inclusive holiday...it may suit you better...just got back from the canaries wk before xmas and have booked to go to the Gambia in February having been there 3 times, for a real holiday. I found the spanish people, cold, unfriendly and unaproachable. It was sooooo expensive....£60 for a meal at night...and the weather was crap....had to hire a heater for the room, it was so cold. Pools weren't hot enough to swim in. So looking forward to a real holiday in the Gambia.

  • estuve en ese pais tan solo una vez...

    y me encantaria volver

aunque no estoy muy segura de que si

vuelvo a ir, sea capaz de volver

  • I am going to The Gambia for a holiday next month - just for one week. Any suggestions of things to take for the people or places to visit?
