I onced owned the cd,,,either this one or maybe it was the best of bread- cant remember-but i read it inside the jacket cover.You can also type this song into your browser and read about it that way. Yeah- Mike and the Mechanics- LIVING YEARS- A great song- i think lead singer is paul carrack- used to be the singer for Squeeze- Black coffee in bead? at least I think thats him? Anyways- both great songs.

@ednadurbin hi,just to let you know paul carrack sang tempted (by the fruit of another)on squeese...also carrack sang how long(has this been going on) by ace...and best of bread was the first album i owned in 73,and to me was my fav.band at that time.carrack shared vocals on tempted but you can get it on u tube...just a bit of trivia thanks....rocker

David Gates wrote this song about his father- A BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN AND SANG TRIBUTE!!!! I feel the same about my father - i miss him everyday. LOVE YOU FOREVER DAD!!!!

"Living Years" by Mike and the Mechanics is close to my heart.i did have the time to spend with my father and so that song just makes me think how lucky i was.
