Lap band is better losing slower is better for you to tone your body and healthier you say you did it for your health right i havent seen any other vid's but your beautiful so you have to keep in mind it all mental along with medical. take care =-)

  • youre so funny here. this is amazing to see your personality flare lol take care

  • only you can make a change with your body and become the size that you dream about all you have to have is some will power and a dream to follow if not you will remain big ......only you can make a change no one else can but you

  • Hey girl dont give up.. some people are lucky real fast will the success of their surgery. I has my lap band done on 7/31/08 and it's been great once you get your fill steady you will be good to go. Just remember it's a tool and once you see results it will be easier for you to do the right thing . Good luck :)

  • Hi my name is Jenmandy, I woul like to give you a good advise get the gastric bypass it works. I will send you a slide show of my 40 pounds in 8 weeks.

  • Jilly I am in the same boat! Fill this Friday! Hang in there! I hope the date went well!

  • So,as I said I had my fill yesterday. I am still able to eat without trouble. I must be a freak or something. I stop after 1cup of food because I think that is enough. I go back in four weeks for another fill. I hope it gets better.

  • I was able to eat anything I wanted (I didn't) at 2wks out. It's amazing how hungry you get as soon as you heal and are able to eat. I had my first fill today, had my surgery Dec 16, 2008. I am waiting for restriction now..we'll see tomorrow after the 24hr liquid diet. My surgeon says it takes a few fills until you get to your ideal restriction. Just be patient, it takes time. My doc tod me today that ideal weight loss with band is like 2-3lbs a week. Remember that. Good luck.

  • You are at very early stages, be patient with it. I have had first fill and still don't have proper restriction. This is not a quick fix. You have to put in the work, this is not a cure.

I still get head hunger but I fight through it by finding something else to do - go for a walk - that helps distract and lose weight.

And when you fancy food, go for fat free options.

  • Hey girl, check out the video I attached. I had just made it a few weeks back! You will be fine I promise. Just remember you are also on a life style change and you need to use this time to learn why you eat when you eat and make good choices when you reach for food. But your restriction will come and you will get on tract I promise.

  • hey hun

i really hope you figure it all out...even with the bypass i still get hungry and i can eat junk food...but i HAVE to control myself and use the tool that was given to me to help me get a handle on it!...we still have to control ourselves and eat right and make good choices....i know its so hard, it took me a good 2-3 months to really get the hang of it and im only 4 months post op!...good luck hun, thanks for being honest!

    OXOXOXOxO

  • You wouldn't have been down 40 lbs with the bypass. At your stage I was only baout 20 lbs down. You have to work this thing and get a handle on your head hunger. You can do it!

  • I love your videos, you are so honest. Hang in there girl! Be patient! It has only been 3 1/2 weeks. Think about how long it would have taken for you to lose 20 lbs before the lapband. You look as cute as you can be! Have fun on your date and hang in there. We are going to lose this weight this year!

  • U wil get restrciton girl! Just make sure u go in for ur fills! After ur fill girl u will feel it : } huggs, mary

  • I'm sorry you're having a hard time. I hope you get that restriction you want soon.

  • Hi Jillian, don't despair. It typically takes between 4 and 6 fills before you reach your "sweet spot." Hang in there, make sure you are scheduled with your surgeon's office to get your fills on a regular basis. I am completely confident that when you reach the restriction, it will melt right off your body. Be a patient, and stay focused on making sure your fills are scheduled. Sweetie, I have been watching a lot of band patients, and they all go through this, so you aren't alone.

  • Im getting ready to get the lap band. How many ccs do they put in the band at the time of surgery? I've heard alot of people saying they dont feel restriction. Wondering if they wait a month or so to add anything? hmmm Another question for me to ask dr.

    Good Luck to you!
