Elmers and other white glues don't seem to have the tackiness to cling to the hairs. They can kinda bead up. Some brands may be better than others. For a liquid glue use Aleene's Clear Gel Tacky Glue. I have another video here on that.
I live in Utah and it is also very dry. But when I use glue stic (the Avery brand you reccommended) it doesn't dry clear. How do I use glue stick without having pasty white streaks and chunks in my tache?
Fascinating. Shame this is somehow not a popular enough video to have shown up in my general search for moustache styling. Luckily a comment on a different video mentioned this one.

Try the Aleene's clear tacky glue in the humidity and let me know how it works out.

Great! Sadly probably would not work in Florida's humidity too terribly well.
