@Gatsbyesque At first I figured it was a producers, but since the mysterious producers seem to be a toy company, I doubt it's anyone associated with the show. It's probably in the Hamptons, New York (general location shooting) or Connecticut. You can't see whose in the car SO, since the house chosen seems to have a VERY quick, easy access, in and out driveway, I'm assuming they either knocked on the door or just filmed it guerilla style and LEFT!
@shrinefilms1 I figured somewhere around there, too, or maybe somewhere on Long Island's gold coast. I don't think they could get away with filming on someone's property without the proper rights... Yeah, that's a law suit. If it doesn't belong to someone associated with the show, then it's very likely a confirmed shooting location that's been featured elsewhere. The problem is finding out from who and where.
Unfortunately, the difficulty in figuring that out is made graver by the show's relative obscurity and the fact that it doesn't appear to have been credited. Oddly enough, it was not in the credits following the first episode, which is the only one I recall featuring an establishing shot of the Rutledge mansion.
*This* particular episode credits a Brookside Estate in Harrison, NY. (I wouldn't have guessed that anything in this episode was shot on the grounds of an estate. Maybe the tower collapse scenes at the pier were actually filmed on private property?) Perhaps it IS a late credit for the Rutledge mansion or maybe it's for one of the other homes that appeared in the first episode montages? Who knows?
If this show were more popular as to denote repeat airings, whoever facilitated the use of that house might've seen it, spoken up and the credits likely would've been revised. That, or some viewer with a good eye would have identified it from another show or film; or it's actual location might've been revealed by someone who actually lives near it long ago.
I think the main problem where the mystery mansion is concerned, apart from the poor credits, is the show's vast obscurity. If nobody sees it, nobody knows. And if nobody knows, nobody cares.
@Gatsbyesque I think it's the BEST! lol. That flower pot makes the whole sequence. You are right, the adults are always in their kids faces until something REALLY happens then they just go argue with each other!
I read somewhere that they taped some episodes in Florida.

Nevertheless, google reveals nothing about said location. There are "Brookside Estates" everywhere... But not in Harrison, NY.
