Just like Lionsilverwolf said, these horses aren't acting afraid of the animals on their backs! There are what I guess you would call "saddles" that protect the horses from the claws of their riders, so as not to injure them.

Also to AndDatHowDaStoryGoes: The average male lion doesn't exceed 550 lbs/250 kg. The average tiger doesn't exceed 670 lbs/306 kg. And the average Sun Bear (which is the species featured) doesn't exceed 154 lbs/70kg. Horses are quite strong animals remember ;)

That chestnut pony and the lion probably both weigh 250kg. That's putting massive strain on the tendons, shoulders and spine of both that horse and the two others.. -_- The poor cats too, how the hell did they make them 'ride' a horse? Cats use their claws to grip prey/balance, i'll bet that blanket on the pony is to cover any claw marks!!

did you see the tigers claws on 1:22! if that tiger were to fall and it went to hold on and got the horses flesh......... that would not be pretty... expecially if it got the horse by the throut.The horse could easily bleed out......... not to mention in some of the pics the animals look scared to death. i mean who wouldnt be afraid of a huge predator riding on their backs? well even though i think this teatment of animals is pretty abusive to the poor animals i do like the song though.

@metabog Maybe because I don't (yepp I DON'T) see my horse as food and would rather like to eat it instead of riding it.

I'm a predator, yes. But I know ways to not behave like a predator. A lion, tiger or bear just can't do that kind of thing and it's totally against their nature to sit on a horse's back instead of hunting it down and eating it.

Bet you'd pee yourself having a tiger/lion/bear even coming close to you without any restraints. And you ARE a predator.

removing the animals' teeth is no different than us pulling our OWN teeth. it's not the animal's problem we enjoy watching them ride each other (hahaha) but the animals are not starving, have open wounds, or any visible health issues. animals in "more civilized" countries are beaten, neglected, or abused in other ways every day. there is NO way to prove the way they trained these animals was cruel. the only huge issue i see if that horses should not be trotting on concrete; it hurts their joints

A horses joints cannot handle such a hard surface, particularly if they are younger aged, and as you can imagine, when concrete and hoof meet, the chances of the horse falling are very high. Thats all I have to say on this matter.

*continuation* you would realize that the fence behind the animals in the photos is much taller than average stock pannels (often used to confine equines), which are about six feet tall. This is not natural in any manner of context. Backing my statements and theories I have close to 12 years experience handling, studying, and owning equines and dont support such madness in any aspect. If any of you knew the first thing about horses you would realize that the horse is infact exhibiting body language that is screaming fear. The whites of his eyes are showing, and you can see the tension in his muscles. Its not natural for humans to ride horses, let alone big cats, which is where their natural fears are derived from. A lot of americans weigh that and ride horses.

You'll find zoo tigers/lions don't weight anything near their wild counterparts, simply becuase they don't hunt or travel miles a day which builds muscle (happens to be a lot heavier than zoo fat).

I think the weight for the horses is fine. After all, think of the poor jumping horses who have to carry the fattest bitches around in an arena during a horse show for an hour, leaping over three foot jumps. Now that is strain.

It's not too bad for the horse because i'm sure they do not work the animals too long- I would just be worried than one of the carnivores would bite or scratch the poor horse by accident. :[
