1st one is more of an FPS game with more realistic graphics and only sword fights here and there.You also need to set the sword option in main menu to 'short moves' otherwise sword play sluggish.

The 2nd game is more about sword play, has cartoony but still great graphics and has motion control for better sword action.

Both are very good games each scoring 4/5 stars on Amazon.

Get both.

srry but i think project natal will kill the wii. since motion sensing was the biggest thing for the wii, and now that project natal will be coming out. i think the wii could die. the advantages for the wii, fun, origional games. for project natal, voice recognition, no controller needed, i dont know about the games though considering its not even out. but both things win in life so.

In Red Steel the sword moves more accordingly than  in Zelda. You can slash down, up, left and right at wish, unlike in Zelda.

In red steel, the sword-fighting mechanics were so horrendously broke that you couldn't ever get the game to do the damn thing you wanted it to, simply because the wii's sensors are awful without the WiiMotion Plus.

Red Steel 2, with the WiiMotion Plus, actually has the mechanics to have GOOD sword fighting.

I tried really hard to like Red Steel 2, but I'm not going to deny its MANY flaws.

Red Steel was a victim of publicity. Development started before the Wii controler was publicly anounced. Ubisoft liked the creativeness of the DS that they jumped on board the Wii (known then as the Revolution)and promised 1:1 ratio controle for the sword fighting and graphics of the Xbox 360. 1:1 didn't happen because Nintendo couldn't deliver that to keep on schedule for the release date and cost. 1:1 ratio will be possible when they release Wii MotionPlus. Red Steel 2 will use this to get 1:1
