Maks is a great teacher. He pushes hope so hard because he knows she can do it. He stood up for her with the judges at the beginning of the video. He is in no way mean or abusive. I mean how many people that are mean would dress up to make sure everyone was having a good time

Don't mean to be a hater, but Maks has changed over the years. I used to love him cause he was so funny, but now he's all serious and everything... Whenever stuff like this happens, I wish that Val would come back. :)
I understand we all think that Maks is too rough on Hope but one thing we all have to remember is they show only what they want to show on tv, just to help with ratings. He doesn't always get mad like this and doesn't always talk/treat her disrespectfully. Alongside with, everyone eventually gives into pressure once in awhile. I think Hope has potential, but Maks' dance style is really agressive. She should switch partner with Nanci, it would be better for both girls, cuz Tristan is smoother as Hope and Nanci would probably put Maks on his place.

Was I the only one that thought they were actually overscored? I thought this was her best dance but this was still not very good. They should've given her 7-7-7 because that mistake at 3:10 was a huge one.
NOW THIS IS THE HOPE I KNOW AND LOVE!!! Being goofy and just having fun! having teddy there was good for her. Maks needs to cool it though,that shoulder shove was not right,especially knowing that she had shoulder surgery. Maks there's no need to be jealous of Teddy, and DWST finally shows some fun footage of Hope instead of all the angsty stuff.
Maks needs to calm down. He is always pissed and it's really annoying, if Hope got Derek she would definetely have won this thing for sure. :) Maks just needs a break maybe for a season. Teddy and her seemed cool, they had fun and learned the routine quicker. Maks just has a temper and needs to learn how to control it.

Well Maks wanted Hope, he got Hope alright. In my opinion is neither Hope or Maks fault, you just don't put 2 people with the same temperament together, you don't put 2 lions in the same room. That is why the say "opposites attract " and to be honest, Hope and Maks personality are the same, they are so alike that fighting, bumping heads is almost natural, like a law of nature. Sorry, I really hate how Maks has been the last two weeks. He shouldn't have man-handled Hope like he did. And I wouldn't say he was being very kind to Ted either after he generously filled in for him. Telling him to "don't fucking speak" and the attitude of that "I wasn't asking you" just wasn't good at all. Notice how Hope improves quite a bit when other pros came in. Hope was having fun and relaxed with another partner. Maks really needs a break, and an attitude adjustment.
She's doing better slowly but surely, but not fast enough I'm afraid. She is dancing better, but she's still pretty stiff! I also loved in rehearsal how much fun she was having with the other instructor and Maks was just a grump. They were teasing him and stuffs. He needs to loosen up and be more gentle with Hope. I'm glad the team dance went well, Maks.. just be more playful with Hope and you'll see she'll get better! I just hope it isn't too late..
The body language between these 2 speak volumes. In the past he would hang on her like he did with his other partners in past seasons. Also you can tell by his facial expressions and answers that he is pissed. I always like Maks but tonight he lost a lot of points in my book.

Hope is an amazing soccer player. But, she isn't an amazing dancer; she probably never will be. I believe that a different partner wouldn't have made much difference. She's stiff, not sexy, and doesn't emote. You who are so down on Maks: No, he has never won a DWTS trophy, but nor have Louis, Tony, Lacey, Anna, Karina, Dmitry, or Chelsea. But Maks HAS had partners with little or no dance experience (Erin, Brandy, Mel B. Kristie, and Laila) & gotten them to the finals. Not bad, I say!

Her foxtrot will always be her best in my mind, but this samba wasn't too bad! Maks would be talking an octive higher once nancy got through with him. Of course, he'd still be complaining that he didn't get a good partner. It's time to fire Maks!!

I love how the judges didn't say anything negative now, probably because they don't want to hear Maks snap again. I thought she was awful, Hope looks so uncomfortable and awkward dancing and she seems really snobby too.
I think the lack of connection between Maks and Hope clearly shows through in their performances. You can see how much she enjoyed working with the other pro that Maks brought in instead!

All I can say is... Maks is the SEXIEST WEREWOLF THAT EVER LIVED! Tonight I give credit to the hair makeup dept. for making him look SO 'HAIRY HOT!' Loved their Samba and their scores could have been higher this week.

She needs to learn to loosen up...thats her problem. Dont be afraid to shake it in the latin and dont be afraid to be fluid graceful and maybe even girly in the other dances. I reallly think hope is just to nervous too tight. She should have gone home tonight...not David! Sorry....but I thought she looked beautiful and gosh I wish Maks would bite me like he did Hope! Was I the only one that thought they were actually overscored? I thought this was her best dance but this was still not very good. They should've given her 7-7-7 because that mistake at 3:10 was a huge one.

NOW THIS IS THE HOPE I KNOW AND LOVE!!! Being goofy and just having fun! having teddy there was good for her. Maks needs to cool it though,that shoulder shove was not right,especially knowing that she had shoulder surgery. Maks there's no need to be jealous of Teddy, and DWST finally shows some fun footage of Hope instead of all the angsty stuff.

Maks needs to calm down. He is always pissed and it's really annoying, if Hope got Derek she would definetely have won this thing for sure. :) Maks just needs a break maybe for a season. Teddy and her seemed cool, they had fun and learned the routine quicker. Maks just has a temper and needs to learn how to control it.

This adding to my comment before, Like Ricki tweeted, You only see a small portion of what happens on the show. I know she is not the best dancer ans you guys what her out but you guys are underestimating Hope's fan base, big time. Oh well is she goes tonight I wont rant about it because I want her focused ans ready for the next game against Sweden. You can tell Hope she sucks at dancing ans maybe is true but if you tell her she sucks at soccer, then my friend, you need to get your eyes checked.

Well Maks wanted Hope, he got Hope alright. In my opinion is neither Hope or Maks fault, you just don't put 2 people with the same temperament together, you don't put 2 lions in the same room. That is why the say "opposites attract " and to be honest, Hope and Maks personality are the same, they are so alike that fighting, bumping heads is almost natural, like a law of nature. I love Hope and I support her in everything she does, but I prefer her kicking ass in goal, winning Olympic Gold Medals

Sorry, I really hate how Maks has been the last two weeks. He shouldn't have man-handled Hope like he did. And I wouldn't say he was being very kind to Ted either after he generously filled in for him. Telling him to "don't fucking speak" and the attitude of that "I wasn't asking you" just wasn't good at all. Notice how Hope improves quite a bit when other pros came in. Hope was having fun and relaxed with another partner. Maks really needs a break, and an attitude adjustment.

She's doing better slowly but surely, but not fast enough I'm afraid. She is dancing better, but she's still pretty stiff! I also loved in rehearsal how much fun she was having with the other instructor and Maks was just a grump. They were teasing him and stuffs. He needs to loosen up and be more gentle with Hope. I'm glad the team dance went well, Maks.. just be more playful with Hope and you'll see she'll get better! I just hope it isn't too late..

The body language between these 2 speak volumes. In the past he would hang on her like he did with his other partners in past seasons. Also you can tell by his facial expressions and answers that he is pissed. I always like Maks but tonight he lost a lot of points in my book.

Hope is an amazing soccer player. But, she isn't an amazing dancer; she probably never will be. I believe that a different partner wouldn't have made much difference. She's stiff, not sexy, and doesn't emote. You who are so down on Maks: No, he has never won a DWTS trophy, but nor have Louis, Tony, Lacey, Anna, Karina, Dmitry, or Chelsea. But Maks HAS had partners with little or no dance experience (Erin, Brandy, Mel B. Kristie, and Laila) & gotten them to the finals. Not bad, I say!

And this is her best dance so far IMO. Judges still gave her lower scores though, this samba deserves a 27.

Well, I'm not going to comment on Maks. I'm going t comment on Hope. You know, the star? Anyway. I though this samba was actually one of Hope's better dances. Her foxtrot will always be her best in my mind, but this samba wasn't too bad! Yeah, she's not the best dancer, and yes, she did have a small mess up in the dance, but I think that she deserve to stay, regardless of what people say.

Hope is a spoiled rotton brat. Never liked her so don't blame Maks. He's a serious and intense dancer and teacher. He expected an athlete to have more discipline and dedication. They did a good job today but there is definite tension between the judges and this dance team.

Maks is an arrogant ass. I would haves slapped him had he treated me like that. It's obvious that these two despise each other. I too would have preferred hope with Tristan and Nancy with the ass. ... I mean really Maks? How can you treat a women like this? I know Hope is a student and Maks is the teacher. He can be frustrated with her but it goes a little bit to far. Maybe he is behaving like this because he didn't win the MBT and he is emotionally invested? I don't know. But I think he needs a break. In season 14 Dmitry or Teddy should replace Maks. And in S15 Maks can come back with his charm (that he lost in this season), a partner who can dance and new, awesome choreographies :)

When it comes to Maks I just don't know what to say. I love him soo much, I like his style of dancing and I always voted for him. Even when he was partnered with Denise Richards ( and she clearly couldn't dance) For me, he is the best pro but his ego pisses me off. The way he is treating Hope is just awful. I felt like something was going on that we didn't see - Poor maks seemed unhappy at the end....he seemed awfully quiet in Brookes section and not full of joy like he usually is....I really hope it isn't his toe or something thats causing him pain! If it is, he danced AMAZINGLY as usual, and you couldn't tell anything was wrong from his movements! Love him as a werewolf!

@sablo75 well, i think that many celebrities in the past were in the competition longer then they deserved because the pro's fans kept voting for their fave pro regardless the celebrity... this is what it is, they would have to have completely new pros every season to avoid this

@srayj S**t, well said!!! Maks is too harsh at times. I've noticed that Hope does way better when someone else is teaching her than Maks. Maybe it was a reason for Maks to be hurting from his toe. Hope was learning from the other guy and in my opinion this dance was better than her other dances..

I love how the judges didn't say anything negative now, probably because they don't want to hear Maks snap again. I thought she was awful, Hope looks so uncomfortable and awkward dancing and she seems really snobby too.

I think the lack of connection between Maks and Hope clearly shows through in their performances. You can see how much she enjoyed working with the other pro that Maks brought in instead!
