"Well we have been educated in such a way that littering is prohibited. Every corner you turn, you will definitely see a rubbish bin, hence there are no reason for you to litter. We will be fined for throwing cigarette butts, tissues, anything.. Chewing gum was banned in the early 90s, but now the ban is lifted after Singaporeans are more aware of the things that they shouldn't do.

So in a way, it is the people who make the city so clean, we are trained to do so and we continue to behave that way when we travel. Once in pakistan, I carried my empty coke can for abt an hour, until i found a bin.. ;)

all this cigarette buds in the streets..

it should be cleaned up by the smokers themselves and not by people who is paid by our tax-money.
