Hey Anthony! I'm an avid fan of your videos! :) But I do have one question...I've noticed all the times I've made this drink that I'm getting a very very thick drink even after extra muddling...adding less sugar...anything that would "thin" out the drink, but I have yet to try skinning the peaches. Were your peaches skinned? Or is there another trick that I'm not doing? Thanks Anthony!
This drink should be slightly thicker than most cocktails, but not overly so. If you're using regular (as opposed to donunt) peaches, make sure you're only using half a peach. Also, you can double-strain the drink, a technique I'll be covering in an upcoming episode - simply strain from the shaker through a fine sieve into the glass. And don't forget you can always add more Maker's Mark! Thanks for commenting!
I like KC also, but Maker's is my favorite. I think the reverse of your question is actually the case: the Bourbon helps bring out a lot more flavor in the fruit. Alcohol dissolves (and therefore allows us to taste) a lot of compounds that water doesn't, so you get more depth of flavor from the fruit when you muddle it with spirits. Thanks for commenting!
that's my spot and my favorite dish!!! thank you for the drink suggestion... better than a plain ild beer...

i like knob creek old fashioned's they taste more balanced than the makers. Does using all that fruit mask the bourbon too much?
