  • Anyone remember those big Grundies waterslides at the end of Caville Ave. opposite the beach? They were awesome and fast!! I was mega disappointed when they took those things down in the late 80's and replaced it with Mini Golf and then stupid Red Rooster.

  • This song is no where near my favourite, still ok, but a little boring compared to alot of their others. I like the way the time coding has been covered up by the show number, looks better like that.

  • I've always thought they said "Next Time". Don't know where I got that from!!

  • I love Australian Crawl's music full stop, but this one would have to be one of my Aussie Crawl favourites, but like you guys, I, too, miss the twaggy bit towards the end. Shame, as this is an otherwise awesome Countdown rendition!!

  • crassico \o/

  • At least in the early days you could understand James' lyrics as time went on he could roll five words into one that made it intesting trying to listen to a new song

  • Shouldv'e seen em in their bathers - No Heroes........... This lyric just rocks......

  • YEAH MULLETS!

  • Pardon, James?

  • Love the shirt James. lol use to have a poster of them on my wall, great band love em

  • @barticus04 Know what you mean... we'd cruise around in my boyfriends LH Torana and we thought we were all so cool putting on an aussie crawl cassette!! Remember the big cassette tape containers you'd have that would sit on the back seat awaiting selection.

  • i got a terrific Torana !!

  • takes me back to the Millers Hotel Brighton le Sands

  • That guy from A-Ha just copied the look of James Reyne... :)

  • O bamda Maravilhosa mesmo....

  • Only James Reyne could wear a sparkle black top & white pants (yuk) & have us girls still wanting to jump him LMAO!!!

  • You're right Givinloveabadname...! We all wanted him, even if he does look like Brian Mannix in this vid!!!

  • @MissGreenie Ha! Ha! Brings back memories. I remember my first crush on Brian Mannix when, Uncanny X-Men first performed on CountDown with "How Do You Get Your Kicks?" Thinking he looked a bit like James Reyne. James was already my imaginary boyfriend. I thought I was the only one who saw any type of resemblence between the two.

  • I LOVE this song & James Reyne....OMFG he was HOT!!!

  • Sensational number.

Every time I used to stay in the Lakeside Hotel in Canberra, this song immediately rang in my head...always made me smile.

    Gold.

    James Reyne SEXY!!!!!!!

  • grrrrrrr, it's missing the twangy ending I love so much. Thanks for sharing but I kind of feel blue-balled by it, so to speak.

  • Yeah, I got this from somebody in Melbourne. I wouldn't know if the twangy bit was included on this Countdown performance or not, because of the editing the sender did.

  • well thankyou for not chopping the best bit off yourself. :D

  • @nzoz1981 just glad someone has preserved it :-)

  • Good stuff.
