  • Vertical jigging for AmberJacks with Rick Croson is a whole experience on its own. If you haven't done it, do it!

  • faggots

  • when the first guy sped up and hooked up, all the other guys were like OH SHIT and then they hooked upp

  • Yeah blackcountrypeddler youre an idiot. the reason you cant "see" the skill is because it went way over your head. Continue your double rig fishing with shrimp and catch those monster pinfish. a monster AJ like that would bend you over and rape you. As for the author, i know him from when I went to school in Wilmington and hes one of the best fisherman I've met. knows his shit and will put you on the fish no matter what the situation is. He holds the local pier tarpon record too at 158 lbs.

  • I want to land one of these so bad. That was some serious jigging fellas. An AJ on a Trevalla = my dream!

  • That's a farking good video well done mates, The fish finder screen was just choking !

  • theres a reason they call amberjack reef donkeys, they fight tougher than shit

  • Aweeeesome! I heard NC is THE spot for AJs... Too strong a fish. If I catch one of those, I'm done for the day! Caught a 82# in Panama, almost died...

  • GREAT VIDEO!!!!!

  • SHIT!!!!!!!!!!! those are some monsters! nice job guys

  • ever eat amberjack? full of worms. Why fish for a species like jacks and tarpon?

How about something yummy like dolphin or wahoo....or cobia even.

    They are just show offs.

    I have seen this b4

  • we fish em cuz they put up a good fight.

  • like saying, I will kill anything for sport. It is about time anglers educate themselves in the devastating mortality rate of "Sport Fishing. Something like 75 percent of all fish returned to the ocean die because of fatigue related death.

Simple....go after species that you can keep and eat.

I can say this because no matter how many sport trips you guys go on you will never match the time I have at sea.

  • sport fishing

  • amberjack are great to eat. caught 5 yesterday and kept 2. ate them for dinner. real good. just cut out the worms

  • Awesome Vid, Arlen! Can't wait to get down there with you boys!

  • AJs will put it to you for sure-its a blast!!

  • Are those trinidad 40N's? Sweet reels.

  • BTW, that's not welcome home by coheed.

  • i know i know.... see reply below.

  • can we hook these AJ'S on heavy duty penn multiplier drag rod or we have to use normal rod for AJ'S these r really giants i saw dem ASTOLA N CHURNA ISLAN in pakistan

  • 2:25 DAMN!!! Look at that mark. Nice aj's

  • Gotta love those triple, quad, and penta (yeah we did it once) hookups on AJs!

  • WFO!!!!

  • gotta love those butterfly jiggin rods

  • those are monster AJ's! triple hook up!! congrats 5-star vid!! I really liked the action of these rods! did you guys all use the same gear...if not, what rod does the guy with the blue poker cap use? post more!

  • that rod is a smith amj 52h, and is fairly light but will withstand a lot of pressure. the reel is a shimano trini 40n.

  • Very nice video!

I am interested to know what gear the guy closest used?

  • Good music. What song is this?

  • this is coheed and cambria "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3" I got it wrong in the credits...

  • is the fishing this good all year? like june, july and august?

  • 12 months a year, weather permitting, one drop one fish for the amberjacks. went a week ago ( 10 Mar 08) and had 60 ajs, two dozen or so over 50 inches, 45 lb wahoo, 30 lb yellowfin, a few blackfins and a half dozen groupers 20-40 lbs. message me about setting up a charter if interested. cheers.

  • Don't think they needed to mark depths that day...just count to 100 and start jigging!

    Great video!

  • CONGATULATIONS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what a great vj amberjack day! May i know what kind of jig, the water deep and the place? I had a so nice day only one time......

    My great congratulation!

  • it comes pre-dyed. Daiwa saltiga boat braid, and most PE lines are marked in some fashion to tell depth. The PE line I use changes color every 10m and has a mark every meter.

  • sick vid guys

how do you mark your line for certain dpeths?
