@nikki7816 she can only hear things with her hearing aids only if the sound is very loud. she cant here someone speaking to her with them. she can only hear lour sounds with them.
@britnielukacs i speak well and am deaf. if first meet me you would never know i was deaf. deaf people range from very clear speach to no speach. and she is deaf most likely. just saying.
@nikki7816 Hearing aids help some deaf people with the rhythm of language and in the description of the show it explains that she lost her hearing post-lingually ( after the acquisition of or exposure to language) which would explain why her speech (articulation) is so clear. I'm excited about the show and hope the camera people don't do face shots when Daphne is signing. Other shows that have deaf characters get close ups and you can't see the signs.

Not all Deaf people can read lips, it is much harder than you think.
