  • *SPOILERS*

I knew the ending to this movie, but when I started watching it something went horribly wrong... I HOPED for a happy ending, hoping is bad. Because after the movie was finished, I felt so sad and depressed... I wanted to crawl under a rock and cry... I hoped for a happy ending, but I guess I got the bitter end of the straw.

  • amazing soundtrack, simple and touching

  • It is a gross understatement to call this beautiful. It is pure emotion.

  • so touching! Great great movie. One of the best in time.

  • Perfect... just perfect

  • I love the movie as much as the soundtrack.....I think I'm the latino George Falconer......

  • @paintur68

    ;:

  • The first waltz in binary tempo I ever heard....

  • @Barbapippo I'm pretty sure 'binary' is a form...

  • So beautiful.... It really touches your heart. As does the movie. Very, very beautiful.

  • i have something against the poster for the movie though. it so puts the wrong impression on people who don't know any better.

in the bluray commentary, tom ford actually said that he wanted the poster to be a still shot of the scene where george put a gun in his mouth behind a shower curtain in his bath tub.

but the producers/ studio thought it was too depressing and stupid.

i think the current one is a little.... boring.

  • so haunting, so magical, so sad and calm at the same time.

  • wowwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • LISTEN at 1:21~1:25 IT SOUNDS SO FAMILIAR, WHERE IS THAT FROM??? (not the other george's waltz)

  • @viekampf Dont know, sorry. Schindler's List or The Fountain maybe?

  • feels the pain and pleasure deep inside my cells, the vibration of the violin is killing me ......

the movie is a must see...

  • argh i'm melting slowly -

  • I loved this movie - wonderful debut from Tom Ford - most sensitively & touchingly acted by all & particularly Colin Firth. This waltz theme of George's reminds me of the one in Wong Kar Wai's beautiful movie 'In the Mood for Love. Both perfection itself.

  • this kinda music reminds me of the ocean and like pirates and stuff. i know its not pirate music but thats just what i feel. can someone direct me towards more music like this please??? i like this kinda dark shit with violins and cellos. gimme more

  • This is hauntingly beautiful.

  • Most beautiful soundtrack ever.

  • Most beautiful soundtrack ever.

  • I agree with all the comments; the best soundtrack I've ever heard.........

But this was the perfect film.....beautifully measured, paced....and so touching; and yes, everything about this movie lingers.....for days after......there's something so poignant about it.

The acting is superb, the style is simply exquisite........the whole tone of the movie is fragile and delicate and loving.

  • This track by Shigeru Umebayashi is an absolute milestone of film music. Magnificent work!

  • @jorchepanagathos

I thought the music is composed by Aabel Korzeniowski.

  • @ZBritannica it's composed by both. Korzeniowski does most of the compositions though so you're not wrong :)

  • @ZBritannica The score was composed by both artists, mainly of course by the polish composer you mention. But Umebayashi, as also mentioned in the opening titles of the movie "Additional music by", has composed (if I recall well) 3 tracks that are included in the released soundtrack and also in the movie. In my opinion these themes of his are by far the best of the score.

  • wonderful movie, wonderful musical score, the movie was filmed like a beautiful piece of art, so beautiful visually, i felt like i was watching a poetic masterpiece, i absolutely loved it, lived up to the hype for me, bravo to tom ford and everyone involved, especially colin firth, brillant performance, bravo!

  • a veces las cosas más horrorosas tiene su punto de encanto...this song´s beauty made me cry

  • My dance class is doing choreography to this. It's beautiful

  • @rosalierox247 That's awesome. Good luck!

  • The most beautiful soundtrack I've ever listened

  • Buy the CD! I did. It is superb! I listen to it for hours and hours every day.

  • I haven't even seen the movie and i'm crying...this score has made me remember my boyfriend, he's far away and i miss him deeply.

  • @ginnmmous That's exactly what happens to me, I wish I could be with him right now and listening to this music together!

I've seen the movie, though: it's fantastic, wonderful! You won't regret watching it!

  • ughhhhhh i cant wait to see this film, the soundtrack has mee imagining on how this film goes!!! tommorow though...i will get my fix

  • ive been looking for this all day! thank you! the soundtrack made the film even more heartbreaking.

  • Yes, it really did. What an amazing score. I am very thankful that Tom Ford was bold enough to finance the film with his own money to see it brought to the screen. Fantastic telling of a story that still needs to be told.

  • Alexander, I was really surprised by this movie. I went to see it because of all of the rave reviews Firth's performance had received. In fact, I was hesitant to put my faith in the film making abilities of a fashion designer. But I was pleasantly surprised. The movie was so beautiful, it hurt. And its a movie that lingers on you days after you see it. Firth's emotions were right on the mark and he gave a perfect performance. The music was wonderfully juxtaposed to his emotions.

  • @bohemiandaisy9

I agree with all your comments. Firth was deserving of his Oscar nomination and the music lingers in my ears. I bought the CD and it is magnificent as well.

  • @bohemiandaisy9 An incredibly beautiful movie, one of the best i've seen in years. You should also watch In The Mood for Love if you haven't seen it already. I'm am sure you would enjoy it the same you did when you saw this one. :)
