As soon as Spink's music goes off and the crowd hears that pulsing bass, I remember Jim saying "This crowd has really flattened out." The theme song was probably produced just for Mike. It really sets the tone though. Reminds me of Chicago Bull entrance. He should have used it everytime.

True, most of the time commentators don't even speak about boxing during the fights anymore. They need to take the Teddy Atlas approach of narrating the action a little bit, saying what the fighters should do to win the fight, and sit back and enjoy the fight rather than trying to fill the entire match with his commentary.

The instrumental for this1 has a higher tempo drone sound, clanging of chains and a weird drum loop. It sounds completely different. So your the DUMBASS Dont assume things just because other people have linked the two songs together (they do sound similar ) but obviously different. Plus Time Machines was released in 1998 and this fight took place in 1988 a 10 year difference. Look it up. Again, DUMBASS.

This commentator isn't bad. If you want to hear a prime example of "talk too much." Prince Naseeem entrance vs. Paul Ingle video on here. Makes this fella sound like a mute.

this was an entrance to be savoured, i dont know what some guy commenting on the atmosphere that he's preventing me from experiencing believes he's adding to the occasion.

True, most of the time commentators don't even speak about boxing during the fights anymore. They need to take the Teddy Atlas approach of narrating the action a little bit, saying what the fighters should do to win the fight, and sit back and enjoy the fight rather than trying to fill the entire match with his commentary.

Time machines is the name of the album not the song.
The instrumental for this1 has a higher tempo drone sound, clanging of chains and a weird drum loop. It sounds completely different. So your the DUMBASS Dont assume things just because other people have linked the two songs together (they do sound similar ) but obviously different. Plus Time Machines was released in 1998 and this fight took place in 1988 a 10 year difference. Look it up. Again, DUMBASS.

Mike Tyson never selected his music (at least his years before dumping Rooney). It was usually the hotel that chose it.
Nevertheless, his entrance was badass! Nothing fancy, no over exaggerated robe...you just knew he came in to kick Spinks ass

@dhulla The hotel? No, this fight wasn't at a hotel, and if it was they wouldn't pick his music. His manager Bill Cayton probably picked it. He was a marketing genius, Tyson never should of left him, his career would of turned out alot different.
