He left Lakai for the same reason Lucas Puig did, to get paid a larger and more deserving check. Lakai cannot afford to shell out the money to all of it's former riders who should be getting bigger money shoe deals. What always drew me to skateboarding was the blend of people who could construct beautiful ramps, and skate them. You know, I remember those days when if you saw someone with a skateboard you were instantly friends. I remember the smell of the skateshop, the new found dignity that didn't integrate itself into organized sports and highschool. When I see Pappalardo designing stellar works, it inspires me to make the world better by making something. Fantastic job. An antidote to idle cynicism

some of you guys need to realize how much work went into those benches. They are also a form of art, not something at you just put your feet on or sit on. I guarantee that he will sell a lot of those benches.Pops is doing something different that is artistic in its own way, and you guys should respect that.
