I was wondering... Was your Corner Adorner small, medium, or large? which size would you recommend to have? As you can see I am new to the scrapbooking world! thanks!!!
Where did you find the Super Sonic Tonic scissors? I can't wait to see the end result! And congrats on winning the extra kit this month -- lucky duck!
The chipboard is very thick. I don't know the exact thickness, but the brand is "Paper Accents" and the weight is "Extra Heavy" ~ it's the thickest chipboard I've found.
I used my Tonic serrated blade detail scissors to cut out all the parts of the letters I could reach and then used a craft knife for the parts that I couldn't. It took a long time & my fingers were very sore, but it turned out well in the end!
What a wonderful use of the oversized alpha in the grungeboard set!! Not to mention if you already own it, it is more affordable than the custom books!
Yes, it's the first time I've used those alphas on a project, actually! I'm glad I finally found something to do with them! The actual album was made entirely from things I had on hand, so it was pretty great!
YOU ARE SOOOOO AMAZING!!! What craft knife do you have?? I can not wait to see all the videos! I have just recently done my first chipboard album and now i am inspired to get blank chipboard and do my own word album!! I love how you taped it to make it bigger!! brilliant!!! thanks so much for doing these!! I am totally inspired by you!!
I have used SO MANY different craft knives and there is no craft knife that I absolutely love. In this video series I use an X-Acto knife and the Martha Stewart Craft Knife, both of which I like about the same. I have also used breakaway box cutters from the hardware store. They're all about the same to me.
I just love watching your videos. I love your style and your are so DANG! creative. I love the neat tips and tricks you share. I've been papercrafting for 15 years but still learn something new from you all the time! Question, what do you use to record your videos?
OMG, I cannot imagine making a word book without my Cricut!!! I used to buy the BoBunny chipboard ones that were already cut and even just covering those with cardstock/paper using my exacto knife was a major chore! Toooo much work for me, LOL! You should get yourself a Cricut, girly. It saves so much time (and lots of hand pain from holding the exacto)!!! Kudos to you for cutting ALL of those chipboard letters and making this album!!!
I am going to ask for a Cricut Expression for Christmas this year! I think it would be great for this sort of a project, because, it was so tedious. After a while I was asking myself what I was thinking!
I love your videos...How do you come up with these ideas? You are so creative. I honestly watch your videos and make your projects..adding a little bit of myself to it..I hope you don't mind. Thanks again for sharing your creativeness with those who love scrapbooking & card making...
Hi, Michelle! I am so glad that these videos are inspiring your own projects ~ that is awesome! You are very welcome & thank you for watching and commenting! :D
I am so amazed at how your work turns out and how you come up with such ideas!.. My brain doesn't really work like that,lol.. Can you do a video to show how your camera is mounted??..
I will see what I can do after I finish this video series. I don't think you will be very impressed, though, since it is not super professional! :D This is a low budget operation over here.
There is low budget over here too... I need a different way to mount mine.. I have been on the lookout for a monopod.. l and a clamp that I can hook to my work area... No luck yet...
thank you so much! I love your ideas! :)

Hi Kathryn,
I was wondering... Was your Corner Adorner small, medium, or large? which size would you recommend to have? As you can see I am new to the scrapbooking world! thanks!!!

It is the purple EK Success corner rounder, which I believe is the largest of their plain corner rounders.

Thanks! I was happy to see that I won ~ exciting! I got my Toic scissors online through JoAnn's once when they were having a sale on scissors.

Hi Kathryn: Did I miss this? How did you cut out each letter, was it tough and how thick is the chipboard you are working from? roxy

Thank you so much ~ I'm so glad the videos are so helpful! I just use my digital point & shoot camera to film these ~ it has a video setting as well.

That would be so nice! Right now I use packing tape to attach my gorilla pod to a (full) cardboard box that is the right height and that's what I use.
I told you it was low budget! :D

I got the grungeboard from my local scrapbooking store, but I think you can get it from Michael's now.
