actually yes they do - thats how they get better, they use other's stuff and adapt it. all great guitarists will have some influences, be it other guitarists, or other types of music - eg. ynwie malsteem was inspired by classical music, satriani was inspired by hendrix etc.

this just proves you dont have to shred and be really fast on the guitar in order to be one hell of a guitar player or make a song sound good. Its the emotion, exemplified by the pulls and hammer-ons that bring a song home to the listener.
