It's been so long and even after the decision to not expose your IRL names on the forums, the RealID feature is still so woeful.

Let's say you add your friends to your RealID, you got hacked, and for whatever reason the hacker decided to do something to every one of your friends(could be anything), and if your friend is the one who got hacked, you'll become a victim as well.

Exposing your real name means you're exposing other info that links to it, which basically means everything.

No. Plus, if you would get your head out of the pillow, stop crying and pay attention to things you would know that Blizzard is giving the option to turn your name on the forums off. The name I use on my account is not my rl name thankfully, so even if I did use Real ID more or post on the forums, I wouldn't have quite as much to worry about.. BUT I still protest this very much. It really is the principle of the matter. It's all for money, and when money is all that is driving some people, who knows how far the Real ID integration will go.

It's against the TOS to give out a real name associated with an account on the forums right now, but they're about to do that for every single person who posts from now on by default.

I agree completely. Using real ID in-game is 'ok' because its supposed to be used by IRL friends and people you trust....but I surely don't want my name being shown to the world on the forums. My guess is it'll soon be forgotten just like in-game voice chat was.
