In the last Gospel it says that Jesus cried out on the cross. In the previous 3 it says he says nothing. Crucifixion is a form of suffocation. Jesus wouldn't have been able to talk. Further, it is my understanding that Roman crucifixions were NEVER buried and left to rot on the cross so if Jesus was never buried how did he rise up out of a grave he was never put in? Well reasoned D.C.
Pilate may have really existed, but that doesn't prove Jesus existed at that time. You make reference to "pre-Constantine" who was basically the one who assembled the "book" and decided which was "real" and which was "Apocryphal", and he didn't do a very good job of it. The Old Testament has its equivalent: the Pseudapygrapha. The "Gospels" as they stand contain references to the these forbidden books----Bad editing guys!
Christianity got started because it was declared the Roman State Religion.
@Flyntragous They always tend to step into subjects I am informed of, like Roman History. Now, if he took the Islamic claim route, I wouldn't be here as I'm still studying that branch.
It was a good time for all creatures of the earth, but fate decreed that the dark prophecy of a demonknight could bring a tragic end to this peace, scarring their lives forever...
Of course. You see, before his defeat in the last of the Primordial Wars between the Heavens and Hells, the evil son of the Hell God Kron, known as Nekron, withdrew to his lair in the Underworld. There, sensing his impending death he inscribed a testament of pure evil in seven black books. He commanded seven immortal demons to carry out his dark plan, but they were turned into stone by the angels of the crystal realms...
Nah, forget it. It was a reference of C. Lee with Rhapsody.
Right on, I get so sick of these people who hear somewhere that tacitus/josephus proves jesus was real, and instead of even google-researching it, just assume it is true.

He failed to realize that the NT was not even written in Greek. The Jews at that time forbid themselves from speaking other languages.

Slayer rules, man. But I have to admit I may be biased. My mom and Tom Araya's family were neighbours for a short while when she was a little girl.
