I see from your response that you understand exactly what single payer is It is myself, my neighbors and my community (my state and nation, if you will) being able to buy into an insurance policy as a large group rather than as single individuals at the mercy of a monopolistic, bureaucratic, industry that produces nothing and adds little value to the nation. I am not in favor of paying your medical bills, while you can eat as much junk foods as you want. You want to see single player system at work? Go to your next door neighbors and ask them to insure you and vice versa. There you don't need to government to do it for you.
