BTW. The drummer on this does a great job too. I didn't notice until I replayed this song the third time. Such subtle drumming often goes unnoticed simply because it blends in so well.
This is a really good recording and the video is outta sight. I agree with the viewer below who says you aren't a clone. That's for sure...cuz, you make the Hendrix style all your own and invent different facets of it and create some really original and unique riffs and fly-aways. BTW. That's a new word I just invented. haha. Thanks for the vid, Ed.
Good Cover on a difficult Song!! Did you ever see him Play Eddie?? I've seen him a few times, and was at the Side doors of the Fillmore East on New years Eve 1969. where the Cables ran from the stage into a Trailer loaded with Recording Equipment as he Played inside with the Band of gypies and recorded the Album.. he was Amazing ..Nobody even came close at the time!!
Ed, you are a Bishop in The High Church Of Hendrix. There are "fans", and "The Faithful". You honor the man, the memory, and the spirit of his love, his music. You add to his sound. You are not a clone! You raise the bar! Few could even imagine that challenge. You sail above it!
...and totally unrehearsed...that was the format and challenge I set toward playing as a band...and the drummer just happened to want to record the night, thankfully!
good job guys!

The date of the posting is on his 65th... you're observant about the timeframe of the actual recording being around his 55th B'day!
