@xxnissansilviaxx I'd take an educated guess at roughly $15kUSD + car (I'm assuming you mean 'How much did the RB25 conversion cost?'). Everyone's price will be different, as labor, parts, and personal skills vary greatly from person to person/location to location. For example RB engines are easy to come by here in Australia so you can pick them up for $1200. Try doing some research instead of just asking questions though.

@IntellectualAddict , well anyway, sorry if i sounded bitchy, but  most people know what a Skyline is. A Skyline (ones that people think of anyway,) is Nissan's AWD sports coupe. These cars are all beautys. Their track times are a beast. You won't see any in the States, unless they're imported.

@EnjoiJusty Skylines are RWD Grocery Getters. The only AWD Skyline was the GTR, which split from the Skyline name tag much like Toyota did with the Supra in 1986 (Once the Celica Supra). There were GTS-Ts and such that were turbo, but still RWD. Also, As of 2003 Skylines were being imported to the US and sold under the Infiniti G35/G37 nametag.

@chillincruisin RB26 has a slightly longer stroke. Same bore. Differences include cam lobe sizes, 26 has individual throttle bodies (on stock manifold, epic throttle response) and extra turbo etc.

No, RB25DET is not the original engine.

They did have an L24 2.4 Inline Six engine that produced approximately 151 bhp at 5600 RPM and 146lb ft at 4400rpm.

@Pigioto1 well if you look at JDM engine import company (lot in north america) you can have plenty of rb20det , rb25det and even rb26dett at good price, and they have all low milages, before saying somthing is rare chek carefully where you can get , BTW original 240z 260 and 280z engines are even more rare than RBS

Well its just that the 240 is beautiful. The 260 is still you know ok in the two seater. the 260 in a 2+2 has already lost cred but finally the 280 is the ugliest of the series.

Although you lose most of your JDM cred when you swap out your matching numbers engine and vin.

I'm doing this swap too. It's not an easy swap by any means. You'll need custom engine mounts, custom tranny mount, custom driveshaft. Then you have to figure out the ECU side of things (either wire the entire stock one in...not great for upgrading, or do a custom EMS). Also need to do the exhaust and things like that.
