  • PEN ARGYL HIGH SCHOOL

    CLASS OF 1986!!!!

    omg--brings back memories!!

  • i need to know what old movie end credits this song was in.

  • a young gene wilder on lead vocals and a young stallone on drums. just a joke. great song by the outfield

  • lucky for you reading my comment...

were not too old too listen these folks. this is the song agrees us all to like it. we can't deny to our selves that they are part of our lives...^__^

  • .....summer of 86 vancouver Island ....awsome!

  • i can sum it up with one word ::::awsum !!!

  • what a cool story scruffy2112! I try and introduce my kids to my music when I was growing up in the 80's (to me the greatest period in music, the 70's were cool too)

  • i love their mullets! :)

  • Don't feel old...we all die sometime, whether we are 8 or 88. Enjoy life and the memories!

  • This song makes me feel old. I wish i could go back in time .

  • Ya, I know. My Kids were pretty young when they were at the crest of their popularity but they loved them. Took the kids and my wife to see them and my older niece to watch them. The kids were so mesmorized they just jammed out . We all had a great time. My Kids are in thier mid to late twentys now.

  • If you watch their videos they are always smiling. Like they were so happy to be there.

  • Ditto, great song and a good band. Those were good times huh?

  • the truth!...

    only "Your Love"

    is cool!

  • Oh yeah! you are right!

    NOT

  • i forgot bout this cool song

  • this song kicks some serious ass!!!

  • Usmc305, Calm down buddy, before you post a comment on what someone else said make sure you know what the other person is trying to get to. Hoover was trying to say that this band is *GOOD* and they didnt become as *FAMOUS* as they should of been. Just because you are insecure you dont have to jump at peoples throat's expecially if you have no idea what certain words mean. Go grab a dictionary and keep listining to the 80's :)

  • I never get tired of watching this.

  • Same here, every now and then I come to watch this video hehe. I wish I could have been there :)

    Cheers!

  • hey monstercript....if you are a man a real man...don{t talk about women...but maybe you are a travesti...that are you{r problem....i think do you desire was a women....por eso estas frustrado hijo de puta...

  • shut up hoover

this band is better than anyone of your rap shit you play at GAY clubs fuck you

  • Hoover---you are so phu--king right!!!!

  • this is the most under rated band of the 80's. they never received the recognition they deserved.

  • How much I miss the 1980's. We have not evolved into a better species. We have regressed. I WANT THE 80'S BACK!!!

  • Absolutely! Talent among the species was probably near its zenith then. Since then, true talent has been glossed over by technology and marketing. We were better then, because we had to be. It was a great time to be alive; I miss those years. Recently, I have been seeing glimmers of hope, but the 90s in particular were horrid years.

  • I guess we can't go back. The 90's were rather dreadful weren't they? Its sad when you think of that these kids are calling "music" today. Mass produced Vomit.

  • This song is really great! Great band!

my favorite The outfield song is "tonight you´re mine"

    Thanks djazz33!

  • Beautiful song!!!

  • i love do sigh i my d king.

  • my d-kind good ?

  • Changed My mind. This one is my favorite.. Love the lyrics too.

  • hola, soy de mexico y esta cancion meeeroooo nos gusto muy cabron the outfield. (HELLO I FROM MEXICO AND THIS SONG WE LIKEEEEEEEEED VERY MUCH, THE OUTFIELD WAS A GREAT MOTHER FUCKER

  • HuH,I'm a METALHEAD & I like this band!!

  • awesome song it made me cry

  • I REALLLLLLY love this song. I like Tony's voice; it's unusually clear, and you don't often catch a tenor like him. FYI, they're aiming to put out a new album this year.

  • its a journey song.

  • Are you SURE? I don't think so.

  • I dont think so dude!

  • hola soy panameña me encantan esas musicas son bien orijinales chau

  • im an outfielder...if you guys dont know,LOVE THEM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great song! I saw the Outfield open for Journey in 86 in Seattle, WA. They were fantastic! I have been a fan of them when they first came on the music seen.

  • simply gorgeous. the high pitched harmonies the lush guitar sound. super catchy melody and superb production.

i would listen to this song like 3 or 4 times in a row every time i played it. so addicting.

real fun to sing along to also. best song on the mini ep.

  • Loved the Outfield !

  • Never forgot their outdoor concert in Montreal,Canada when they opened up for Mike andthe Mechanics. Quite frankly my brother and had no intention of seeing Mike andthe Mechanics except for The Outfield. Must have been around 1990. What a great bunch of rockin and catchy melodies.

  • I was working crowd control at Andrews Amphitheater at University of Hawaii when they filmed this video. The band rocks and they were totally cool!

  • The 80's rocked!!!!!!!! Unless you were there you will never understand the peace we felt during that period. The world of today is a hateful, filthy, scary place. And, the music of todays sucks!!!!!!!!

  • u were obviously not aware at the time...remember the falklands? the cold war? we were constantly heckled by the east and we had iran-iraq war and so on...everyone wasn't as good as the music..it was as dark as it is now

  • Falklands are islands. I've heard of the Cold War; it was arranged between Russia and the US (here) as a false public move for world power between the two. The Arab world's always been a disatser, but they're trying to improve.... what about the good stuff back then? All kinds from what I hear!

  • it was good in many ways, like modern day is...but i bet u can find flaws in any time of living

  • Oh please...like the Cold War or anything else you mentioned affected the public. You can't compare that to terrorism in America and everything that's going on today.

  • no need to compare, both are scary. i was a cold war soldier, sat on the germanborder with a pershing nuke missle ready to go, with russian spetnaz ready to take us out in the night. the cold war affected the public more than you know.

  • exactly as robh64 said it, my cousin was moving to an fro in a PR stint in the 80s, the world then was the closest it ever got from being destroyed

nowadays health and safety makes a safety blanket around everything.

Back then all we had for safety was Big Country and small amounts of marijuana and cocaine everyone exported from panama

  • funny that they're a household name in america, but in their home nation noones heard of them

  • Except from me which i own all of their cd's there one of my favorites.

  • its weird they play in pubs here but could fill out Madison square garden in USA

  • Here in Los Angeles, their song, Your Love, is considered one of the best 80's songs ever. I don't think anyone's heard the rest of the album over here except for die hard fans. But that one song...everyone knows and loves.

  • Yes and no. The older generations had a mass-made '80s retro kick since around 2000; we younger ones have to dig to find good music, like how I found this group's songs. I don't think anyone's really heard of them, and they're only known here for one song I know of. Their website says they're finishing their new album (theoutfield(dot)com, I think). Hope they come play the States, though. I'd like to see them live.

  • yeah i read it earlier today but i don't think it'll be a public release..most of their stuff just goes to their fan club...here in England they just play in pubs..noones heard of em except a few...lucky to be one of the few

  • This song was one of my favorite power ballads of the the '80s. I'm glad you like these guys too! Where in the States do you live?

  • Kettering, Ohio. It's a southern suburb of Dayton and Sister City to Kettering, England. :-) We hada wave of '80s retro hit in the early 2000s, so I caught this band's name while learning retro music that way. Recently checkedout the Best Of from the library - LOTS OF PODPICKS on that one!!!!! My Paradise was also a fav. Really wish Outfield would come tour our clubs; John Spinks talked to Canada's Nettwerk, but I don't know more. No contact on their website. :-(

  • yes the 80ies was the best!!!!

  • Wow, this music was so perfect for that decade. Hard to explain unless you were there. I think it still holds up pretty well but it doesn't reflect the kind of world we live in now.

I remember the first time I heard this band was when this album came out in '85. I was visiting a friend's family in Arizona and all the kids in this town and me were up on some "Lookout Point" one night listening to this album playing from someone's car stereo.

To be a teenager at that that time...

  • Fuck!

    I wish I was born in 1972.

  • wow i forgot just how good the 80s were im 38 and this just takes me back

  • que bueno es volver a escuchar esta musica, que trae tantos recuerdos de una adolecencia cargada de recuerdos. quien pudiera cerrar los ojos y volver a vivir un solo dia.

  • move over steve perry

  • makes me wanna be alive in the 80's

  • I love this video so much. I'm too young to know this band when they came out, but this is a fantastic video, especially matching the sound of the song. I actually pictured the night sky/moon kind of thing the first time I heard this song. They did a fantastic job on this, I love the venue, and Tony's amazing to watch.

  • The incredible 80s, just absolutely amazing stuff. Pick any band and you get awesome songs.

  • Man this brings back some great memories of 1986!!!!!! Life was great back then. WTF has happened to the world in the last 22 years?????????????????

  • we need more outfields..

  • yeah ther like 5 songs...i like 4 of em rofl

  • Embedding disabled by request

  • wow...listen close during choruses and you can hear a 12 string acoustic guitar! ...never heard that before..is the keyboardist blind!?..he totally acts like he is.

  • Yes, the keyboard player is blind.

  • Un Grupo que me fasina friends por siempre....PERU-lima mi name: Elite Neptali, bedoya Espieiru

  • haha hilarious british that wannabe americans!

  • Fear the Mullet!

  • i love this song. I've been looking for the video of their song "TAlK TO ME", Can't find it.

  • This is also a fantastic song in The Outfield career. The videoclip tries to show like if the New Millenium of the New Wave music were coming. It´s my opinion, but the stars falling like rain makes an impression of world changing and end of life.

  • Brilliant video, great song...but who IS that gorgeous guitarist in the yellow shirt? He is soooo sexy!

  • That's John Spinks. =) I just read on The Outfield website that he had been ill; it didn't give any specifics, but I hope he gets well soon.

  • No, not John Spinks, the other guitarist!! The one in the YELLOW shirt!!

  • Oh, I see him now; too many blondes. I would guess he was just an "extra" for the video.

BTW, I just read an interview with John, and apparently, he had liver cancer, and he almost died. I am glad he's well now!

  • I've noticed the same gorgeous guy in at least 3 other Outfield videos, so he must have been part of the band at that time. He's lovely!

  • which guy is that? They are all quite gorgeous. The lead singer is Tony, the drummer is Alan, the blonde to the right of tony is John, the blonde to the left is Graham (only a session player in the early days)and the keyboard player is Reg (a session player in early days)

  • Thanks, Outfieldwy, I posted the same question with a couple of other songs and found out his name's Grahame Leslie, a really good guitarist in his own right.

  • Outfieldwy, it's Grahame who I think is gorgeous-looking!

  • sylvester stallone on drums,LOL

  • nervous alibi is a great song

  • Holy mullets..

  • sometimes people say that the past is not important and should forget it....bt we must thanks god!coz if u look behind,u hav a past bad or nice,u made a history no metter what!

  • Check it out! Stallone on drums!

  • ROFL

    =D

  • does everyone know here that the director of "Seven" and "Fight Club" is the same guy that directed this video

  • I remember a line in an outfield song.. something like..Sherri where u been since one this morning.. anyone know what I'm Talking about???

  • That's the song titled "Nervous Alibi".

  • Cherry where you been since 9 this morning Give me all the names who saw you there But if they cant remember I know that you'll surrender Another nervous alibi Cherry whats this game you think your playing Dont you know I hate those clothes you wear For Ive seen men undress you And with their eyes caress you Another nervous alibi Cherry name the day and Ill be waiting Give me just one chance to show I care I know if were together It can go on forever Another Nervous Alibi
  • Yes, and it totally sucks that there's no video for Nervous Alibi.

  • Great song! yeah too bad there's no video :(

  • This song takes me back 23 yrs. Years past way to fast. I feel so old.

  • Naaaaaaaahhhhhhhh

  • it must have been funny when the PR came out told the marks to raise their hands and sway....

  • My comment is about Michael Kozak...he was in business...nothing personal, just business...

  • outfield <33

  • this band brings me.when i was small my mom bought their casette tape and we always listen to it...

  • i mean bring me good memories....

  • i'm 13 and I love this song...My dad turned me onto 80's rock.

  • Me too!

  • wow!!! amazing

  • this song reminds me my adolescent in my state Connecticut..... thats cool and thats NOT cool! sometimes Nostalgia fuckin' with me...

  • Compare it to today's "singers" like Eminem, Britney Spears, and company, and you will see that this song and many others from back then are ALWAYS cool!

  • Made out with the head cheerleader of the ACC to this one back in 1986. What memories!

  • Great band!

  • Dude I was there when they were making this video on the campus of the University Of Hawaii outdoor amphitheater in like 85??? Cool!

  • I'm 14 too, and i love this song...

  • Lol, im 14 and i love this song :)

  • I'm 32. I still have this album. One of the greatest albums of the 80's. You can't say that for most of the 80's bands, but they're awesome!!!!!

  • This tape got me through my dad's death when I was thirteen. Anyone belog to the fan club in 86/87?

  • that's sweet.. this tape got me through getting my tonsils removed..my Grandma got it for me as a present in '86. I wore the tape out!

  • What a great song by an equally great group!!

  • Play Deep was the first Album I did buy in Lp, Cassette & Compact Disc!! I also still own the 7" single 'Your Love/All The Love', it has the date it was bought 16/nov/86...oh yes!

  • >upload "talk to me/61 seconds" pls...

  • 61 seconds!! Great song, one of their best indeed!

  • Excelente cancion !!!!

  • I'm sure like all the other posters, we all grew up in the 80's. It was corny back then, but you look back, and damn it was a lot of fun!! That's right every one, we are not baby boomers or gen x-ers, we were the 80's.

  • Thanks for posting this one, alot of memories for me. Peace,sailor8285

  • yeah.. does anyone have alone with you? love that song

  • Anyone has "Alone With You" to upload?

  • this is a great song the outfield is absolutely fucking awesome...

  • This band is DEFINATELY UNDERATED!!!!

  • Wow....is this an 1986 song?????????

  • So I hear influence of Alan Parsons Project, Rush, Yes, Pink Floyd... they'd be an amazing copy band if they tried.

  • I find this video to be most excellent!

  • they still tour and they are working on a new album too! rock on...

the raspberries got back together again, too

it isn't too late! watch the smaller venues and outdoor festivals

there are some 80s format radio stations around or at least there were for a while...

  • in dallas tx,1985 who remebers kidd kradick on the eagle 97.1 sign of the time.

  • Great:P What can I say any more???

  • Tottaly cool guitar hook ...I agree. they should have been HUGE!!!

  • uhmmm...they WERE Huge...

  • Lot's of nice hair.

  • Great to hear this again. I just bid on Play Deep on Ebay after listening to it here. These guys were awesome. So many memories.

  • They played the shit out of "Your Love" in summer "85", I was 15,to the point where I got really tired of it,when I heard this song on the radio about a year later liked it so much I went out and bought the cassette, what a beautiful love song, Outfield Rock!!!

  • why doesnt 80´s come back again? i´m still 20,but 70´s,80´s & 90´s was,is n will be the great moment that the world had talkin bout music.wat a pity i was born later .

  • Music turned to COMPLETE, and TOTAL SHIT after the mid 90's. Thank God for people like you. People who can appreciate QUALITY Rock n ROLL.

P.S. Don't forget about the WONDERFUL music from the 60's. Keep ROCKN'!

  • CAn you please tell me your favorite groups of the 60's and 80's please...

  • The Outfield rocks, performing live.

Most bands during the 80's performing live sucked, bad!!

  • I cannot for the life of me figure out why this band was not one of the biggest things in the USA during the 80's. They were, okay, popular, but they should have been fuggin' HUGE. Great hook after great hook, awesome pop songs sung and played by extraordinarily talented guys. After all these years still don't get it. But I love The Outfield, and I suppose you folks do too, and that's pretty damn cool.

  • Because Madonna, Def Leppard, Aerosmith, Slaughter, Til Tuesday and others were in competition at the time too.

Somehow this great band got left in the dust.

How, I can't see why either.

    Politics suck, doesn't it?

  • I had the longest make out session with one of the most beautiful women in the world to this song and album back in 1986. Thank you Outfield for providing the soundtrack for my 20th year!

  • the outfield is for long the best 80's band, aguante!!please post ALONE WITH YOU video pleaseeeee

  • ests tios si fueron buenos el tio tony lewis le puso talento a ese grupito inglles

  • esta chido el video me gustaria saber mas de the oufield

  • that's not Stallone on drums... its the kid from American Pie !

  • Saw them live with starship in indianapolis 1986 the loudest and clearest concert i have ever been to.
