  • Micheal lee your amazing but damn screwing up the intro! :(

  • I saw the Page & Plant tour twice in Cleveland, The first time Robert sang Rock & Roll like he did in "Song Remains the Same", but the second time he sang it like the record. I was absolutely shocked when the first line came over the speakers! He sounded great, maybe even better than here.

  • Saudoso Michael Lee.Outro que se foi cedo d+.

  • Viva Plant! and Viva Brazil!

  • page has a mullet!!! :O

  • @sandi739 yep! too cute.. i don't care if he was bald and painted gold to look like the oscar statue --- he's still the worlds best guitar player...period. at that level he can have whatever haircut he wants... nobody @ that concert cares a hoot about his hair

  • My god. Has anybody ever heard him sing the song this way after 1973? He nailed it! It was like The Australian tour they did back in the day.

  • If plant's voice was a little louder, this performance wouls have been legendary!! Well more legandary than it already is.

  • Robert has always preformed at his top level in Rio. I think the crowd really energised him. Good for us :)

  • saw this a week before, in São Paulo. One of the best shows ever.

  • Brasil eh demais , outra energia ... \m/

  • it´s been a long time, long time lonely lonely lonely lonely timeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • i'll give everything i own if someone could have this gig in better quality

  • OMG, Plant is amazing!! And RIP Michael Lee, he was a great drummer

  • omg, i was there!

    =D

  • robert plant is full of surprises.

i thought he'd sing it the way he (not always as it turns out) has since 1973.

  • It´s too hard to sing this. Live Robert Plant!

  • а что так хреново видно?как у негра в Ж.

  • If yall would like to see another example of these AWESOME Rio rock audiences, check out Rush in Rio on u tube .XYZ in particular.I have never seen anything even close to the Brazilian kids enthususiasm at concerts.Even if you don't like Rush,it is worth checking out just for that)

  • Plants singing in this is incredible for his age at this point!!

  • The reason RObert has not sung his whole career this high is not because he couldn't but because he has had vocal issues that even put him in the hospital for surgery in the early 70's. Since then he has gone balls out while he has been sick, while he has a hoarse throat, and while his vocal chords were inflamed. This combination led to the late 80's Robert we were suprised to hear. Not to mention he stopped training his vocals to do this after Led Zeppelin broke up.

  • Just love to see Michael Lee in action here -

his arms are flying over the drums with the speed of a huming bird, what a great drummer!

R.I.P. Michael, you were one of the greatest!

  • REALY COOL!!!

  • for some seconds Robert, Jimmy and Charlie payed their respect to Michael, by turning towards him - being silent, admiring his hard work, just LOVE this

  • R.I.P. Michael. I love you, mate!

  • Como Rockea Michael.

  • is jimmy using an epiphone ?!!!!

  • Impressive/impressionante! Plant is singing high like he used to in the early 70's. He doesn't usually sing such high pitches any more. The crowd must have really inspired him to go all out.

  • Plant is singing a surprisingly high pitch for this point in his life. By the 90's, he didn't usually sing notes as high as the opening line of this song.

  • Now THAT'S a rock concert! Woohoo!

  • Du caralho. Quando o público é 10 como o brasileiro, qq artista mostra o quanto é capaz num palco! Detonaram! Plant & Page estão nos nossos corações!

  • what it must be like to play for a crowd like that

  • surly better than the madison square garden 73 version

  • It's in a ponytail

  • It's in a ponytail

  • Did Page cut his hair? He looks so different

  • i think he pulled it back

  • I was there, his hair is just wet - this is the last song and this was a hot tropical summer night in Rio. Not only the hair became wet, his shirt became completely wet as well, they took a small break for this last song, changed his shirt, combed the hair and this is it.

  • Perfecto!!!!

  • all i can say is wow!!! great performance

  • he sounds better here than in most late 70's concerts

  • yeah they were almost always high

  • In the late 70's, not just high, I'd say they were drunk! But they still kicked ass in the later years.

  • Hot sauce my friend and vinegar he has a vocal coach now that he's gotten older

  • Robert must have gotten some kind of voice treatments or something, cuz it ain't sounded this good in decades!!!

  • dude, the drummer is fantastic. everyone is bashing him cause he aint Bonzo. no he isnt, and he isnt trying to be. He is fantastic

  • At the Live Aid thing Robert could hardly sing this at all, but here he does a decent job and can at least sing the main verses OK. He has a bash at the highest bits as well, and although his voice breaks up into falsetto, it's overall still cool.

  • yea he fucked up the beginning especially cuz ur not supposed to hit the snare on every beat in the beginning he did and it sounded bad

  • the only one who should be alowed to play that one is Jason Bonham.

  • john u mean

  • no, he means Jason, John's son

  • o okay

  • jimmy THE BEST

  • Its wrong to Knock other drummers just because they cannot play like the late great John "Henry" Bonham, no drummer can and never will match his style & persono, he was and still is the very best ultimate brummer the world has known

  • Robert's voice is still good, and Jimmy is still the best guitarist alive, but that drummer suuuucks

  • i so hope they return for a reunion tour

hopefully in new york so i can see them play!

  • Plant's voice hasn't aged well but he rose to the occasion for this one.

  • That drummer sucks. They could've found better.

  • Man, they sounded great! Really miss Bonham on the drums...

Too bad this song gets over-played in commercials. Why cant they leave masterpieces be?

  • Fuck YEAH! Plant's voice seems to have returned. He kinda lost it in the late 70's.

  • oh yeah seewhat you mean THIS drummershould have played at live aid instead oftonythompson and phil collins

  • I am right there at the front row and I appear briefly on this videoclip!

Hail to Robert Plant and Jimmy Page!

  • it WAS Phil Collins on drums at live aid turd brain sorry i mean come at least get your facts straight then we can discuss this great band like gentemen

  • Yes, the drummer can´t compare with John Bonham (few can ).

I went to Rock in Rio 2 at the Maracana Stadium because Robert Plant and his band were squeduled to play there.

Robert ended up canceling his appearance.

We had to content ourselves with Billy Idol (urrghh) and Guns n´Roses, who actually did a really good show.

I wasn´t able to go to this show.

    Thank you, brspled.

  • Damn, Plant hits the high ones!!!! Woo

  • good performance but damn I can not stand that friggin predictable Lee on drums. He sucks and ruins it for me every time.

  • The Page/Plant live band was deadly! they kicked ass in Rio.

  • Where was that drummer during Live Aid? He filled Bonham's shoes alot better than Tony Thompson and Phil Collins.

  • Bonham only used one crash? What size was it? When was this? When he was 12,maybe?

    Oh,and I'll bet he played A.Zildjians all the time,and never had a gong or timpani's either,right?

I think it is YOU that needs to do some fact checking!

  • Before I die, I want to do a show before a Brazilian audience - by far the most passionate fans in the world. Love, Mackey

  • Whew! Awesome performance. And uh... unique way to end the song by Mr. Plant :)

Speaking of Plant, is that his son-in-law on bass? Whatta fox.

  • How I love them!!!!

  • ^^ you eediot.. that's how Bonham's set was set up. It's all that is needed.

  • The drummer(Michael Lee?) only has 1 crash cymbal!I have heard that described as a piano player hitting the same note all night long!

  • What a moron. Ever hear of a drummer named John Bonham? Same set up, nitwit. Get your facts straight before you start popping off, numb nuts.

  • jimmy page eres un monster of the guitar

  • WOW Robert is hitting those note higher than he did anytime past 72 0.o

  • Vocal harmonizer, anyone? ;)

Nah, Robert's good people for sure.

  • THat's the best I've ver seen that song performed!

  • A gem

  • YEEEAAAHHHHH!!!!!

  • Great!! Thank you!

  • Awwwwww Yeaaaah!
