A hundred%? I dont know about that? Good Players will play their cards, the same as other good players, in almost any scenario. If you think you have the nuts, ur going to push, & enough flush draws or sets will turn into boats against you as their 20-30% chance of hitting will eventually hit. I've won a few tournaments online against 7,000 or more, & i suck. I agree with u there's is some skill but I have to say it's 51% luck. Any less than that, and Phil Helmuth would probably win every hand

Look at the highest earning players in the history of the game, Jamie Gold is very close to #1, might even be. Thats from one tournament where he got very lucky in a lot of situations. Plus the same faces at final tables theory is usually at tourneys with fields of a few dozen or a hundred players. How often do you see same faces at WSOP main event final tables?

Actually You got it partly right and wrong, Poker winnings are not taxed....until you reach over a certain amount... for example in a cash game at the casino I go to, Its not taxed unless you check out with 10,000 or over at once... so as long as you dont bring 10,000 or over worth of chips on one sitting then your good. Im not sure about the WSOP but im sure you have to pay taxes if you win one of those big tournaments(cuz the govenment is a leech) but im not 100%sure on that one tho.

No, it doesn't. Gambling does not imply you have unfavorable odds. Gambling just means that chance is a variable. That's why the poker players in the world (e.g., Allen Cunningham) lose to amateurs if they play aggressive and are forced to "out card" them.

So you'd suspect that only a few players in the field would have an edge in the long run? I still believe I have an edge, but I might be wrong - players tend to overrate themselves.

If you knew anything...at all, you'd know that poker winnings are not taxed...you pay a small fee to the house to enter, and you win straight up cash...no checks a month later...you go to the booth and get your cash....

our 100% wrong. Poker winnings ARE taxed. I have payed those taxes personally.
The responsibilty is yours to claim that income and pay the taxes.
If you don't pay those taxes then you are guilty of tax evasion.

Actually You got it partly right and wrong, Poker winnings are not taxed....until you reach over a certain amount... for example in a cash game at the casino I go to, Its not taxed unless you check out with 10,000 or over at once... so as long as you dont bring 10,000 or over worth of chips on one sitting then your good. Im not sure about the WSOP but im sure you have to pay taxes if you win one of those big tournaments(cuz the govenment is a leech) but im not 100%sure on that one tho.

I call with strange cards because then you cant tell if the flop helped me. If you raise with AQ, and I call with 78, when the flop comes A78 you will bet and I will just shove - you will call and I will be ahead. And u will call me a donk while im countin ya chips

No, it doesn't. Gambling does not imply you have unfavorable odds. Gambling just means that chance is a variable. That's why the poker players in the world (e.g., Allen Cunningham) lose to amateurs if they play aggressive and are forced to "out card" them.

HomeReality, I don't know where you play poker, but where I play there's always a rake? Normally 5% of a pot in a cash game, and 10% in a tournament. So you'd suspect that only a few players in the field would have an edge in the long run? I still believe I have an edge, but I might be wrong - players tend to overrate themselves.
