I want a girl with blue eyes and darker skin to play Katara and a pale girl with blue eyes to play Suki! I want Katara to know Tai Chi (I think she does know some of it but not enough. She should have at least 1 year of practise to get it right) and Suki to know Aikido and Tessenjutsu. They still have a chance to at least change Suki for the second movie. SO WHY THE F*** DON'T THEY? I know that for 3D they needed shorter movie, but we don't need such a 3D. They should just make a good 2D movie!

I'm honestly not too angry that the characters looked different than they were in the show. What made me angry was how poorly they acted and how bad the script was. The characters seemed nothing like their characters from the show (and I'm not talking about their physical appearance), it's a shame.

I SAW THE MOVIE AND CAST WAS HORRIBLE. The Actual series is based in Asia so the cast should be some type of Asian(Chinese, Indian, Korean, Filipino, Japanese, Vietnamese) to Play the Roles. BUT THEY WERE WHITE! It doesnt mater that the characters just look nice. they have to FIT THE ROLE. and almost NONE of the actors and actresses fit the role of there characters. Its was a disappointment to me and a lot of other Avatar The Last Air Bender Fans.

You know, I say give these people a chance. I agree that yes, perhaps the water nation people should have darker skin but they don't look black to me, they look more russet. Also, I think that a little less should be mentioned on how they look, and accept that perhaps combined with how they ACT their roles they might be perfect choices? While Dev Patel is no where near the right nationality for zuko, and also does not match up to zuko's sexiness (:D), i think he looks like he would be able to pull of the personality of zuko. Zuko is supposed to look depressed all the time, and they were about to make jesse mccartney zuko *shivers*, and he's too innocent looking!! I think in terms of the whole cast, they might have chosen them on acting skill and not just looks.
