How can the machine see what coin you put in? Whit a lightsensor? :)

My guess would be a "size" sensor :)

not a light sensor. the coins with different sizes connect different cables linked to different resistances. The input sensor read that resistance like it was a light sensor, from 0 to 100%. hope it helps! :)
