  • OMG this man is a butcher, why am I looking at this!!!??? I have to make removed one in a few weeks......I dont want to do it but there is no choice...........I wont watch and I agree with another comment that he removed a lot of tisssue!!!!!! Fuck!

  • Das geht aber ins auge

  • INTERESANTE

  • Just got myself a big one. Fuck.

  • The pain kinda look good. I gotta get mines done asap I want to feel it

  • I'm going to get mines on June 14 I have one on my right upper lid and a huge ine on my lower left lid

  • ahh./!!! mi ojito =()

  • is there any alternative of surgery? like cream or something?

  • @9Dan22 yeah there is drops, i tried them and they failed so im getting the surgery on wednesday, whopee!

  • The way he did the procedure looked barbaric! He burned a crater into the mans inner lid!

  • @elgntlove3 he's lucky if you ask me, my friend had the same. He got surgery with bullets :S

  • gezz just take the whole thing while you're at it...

  • gonna scrap this on my toast

  • I also had 3 surgeries due to them coming back...several at a time on both eyes. It is caused by a staph infection usually called blaepharitis. Girls it can come from makeup, especially masara and eye liners. Make sure and wash it off everyday with baby shampoo and water...then throw away your makeup and buy new every few months. There should be expiration dates on it.

  • @maryannob since it's caused by a staff infection did you need to take any antibiotics to treat it??

  • At the end it didn't look like he did anything. Is that just swelling? does it go away completely after or does it stay just like that?

  • okay someone PLEASE ANSWER ME.. is da dude awake?

or sumthinq? is his eye numb someone PLEASE answer me.

ima qet this done and ..i NEED to know

  • @MsxShameless yes the guy was awake and yes they do numb it....... but you will still feel it..... but surgery isn't a good idea since you will feel the scab for a 1yr or 2....ask your Doctor for antibiotic pills and anti-bio eye drops its also use hot compress for 10minutes 5times a day daily.

  • he's peeling/cutarizing it!!! bad bad bad

  • He's doing it wrong! D=

  • i wonder why it doesnt bleed!

  • wht r they taking out?

  • May 13th i have this done. SHIT!

  • holy fucking shit mother

  • i still have one on my left eye dont know wat to do!!!!

  • I had mine cut out and it wasnt bad at all.

I am glad I got mine out. I look like the old me again.

  • @basboosa911 how long did you have ur chalazion? i had mine on my right eye for 6 months and then a few weeks ago i got another one on my right eye. is that common? once you have surgery to remove it can you get it again? Cus why pay all that money to remove it if another one is coming back?

  • @calichicc209 I had the first for about a year before the second came. Then a third and a fourth after using the pills the prescribed. I had them cut out and had a new cluster form. I would not recommend the removal for any that are not newer. They turn in to scar tissue and there is nothing in them to break and release. If they are new, you can cut them out, but I am convinced the ointment made me break out again...

  • @basboosa911 so after the surgery you ended up getting more in your eyes? Did those ever go away, or did you have surgery again?

  • @calichicc209 I* had 3 surgeries and new ones came after the othes were removed. They came back in clusters and eventually got smaller, or drained out.

  • My two years oldshave it in both eyes, I tried everything. I just made an appointment today cause they're getting worse everyday and bigger some of them turned purple> I think surgery is the only option left. Does someone knows how much does surgery costs? My insurance wont cover it so I want to have an idea. Thank you!

  • 250-500$ mine is costing 500 :(

  • @fernandagarcia18 @calichicc209 I* had 3 surgeries and new ones came after the othes were removed. They came back in clusters and eventually got smaller, or drained out.

  • -cant stop fucking screeaming -

i have this shit in my eye and if... no...

    NO!!

  • what's with the eye drops they prescribe after this surgery, waht do they do? and the doxycycline?

  • i hvae to do this tmrw. is it extremely painfuL?

  • Ive had this doen twice on the same chalazion. I just had it done on fri. for a second time because the first time it didn't work (it came back). THe first time really stung. the numbing is the worst part. also, the first time the docotor didnt give me enough numbing stuff so i could feel the scalpel. OWW! This most recents really wan't bad once the sting of the needle went away. Good luck! just remember to try to relax an breathe..!

  • how was your Op?

  • i lucked out. after compressing the whole day, my chalazion popped ish. the liquid drained and theres a vast differnce in size

  • thats good, though after my op, i was put on a course of anti-biotics for 3 months as once the cyst is burst the bacteria that causes them can spread very easily and cause new chalazions... best see your doc about it.

  • that what i was scared of. i do actaully have the prescribed anti biotics that my docotor prescribed to me to use when doing the warm compress. ive been busy abd havent done it for the past 4 days, and havent gotten all the goo out. But i can actually see a little piece of the chalasion hanging out of the hole in my eye. or crater or cut whatever you want to call it

  • how much did this surgery cost I might have to get it if the antibiotics dont work?

  • i ended up lucking out. my i compressed with hot water for almost every day about 5-6 times a day. soon there was a small white dot under my eye, and eventually with enough compression that small dot *under my eye lid* just popped on itself and the liquid basically flowed out. went away more every day

  • i had that done! It never came back and its been 4 years. I cant belive while I was asleep they did that to me!!!!!!!!!!! I didnt feel a thing!

  • You were lucky you were asleep... i've had 7 cut out in day surgery while awake... getting my 8th cut out next tuesday. 2 in each lid so far... mine don't go away by themselves... they just get bigger and nastier...

  • Too much destruction of meibomian glands

  • Yeah, I like it when they just use a scalpel and scoop method instead. Ew.

  • What is that ?

  • he was to rough pushing that thingy into his eye!

  • Wow, he removed way too much tissue...there is a reason the standard way to do it is with a scalpel. Less destruction to the eyelid that way.

  • @JadeyChi No kidding. That was flesh he was removing not dried oil...

  • wheres his eye!?

  • @natnat1509 if you watch he folds the lower lid back.. where are your eyes?

  • @natnat1509 wait til the end

  • Comment removed

  • or you could get some type of medicine treatment for it

  • I just did it today. My eye is still swollen though, and can't notice how better it is, but guess that's normal, right?

  • i had it done, and mine never went away, now its bigger... going in for a appointment in 30 mins

they all say its painless... but mine hurts like a motherfucker... and the doc wont give me anything

  • I went to an ophthalmologist to see what he can do about this, and he told me to put a warm compress on my eyelid 5 times a day for about 5-10 minutes and that there was a 50% chance that it would go away by doing that. I have 3 bumps on my lower right eyelid. I guess my question is, if I get it surgically removed, won't they just come back since the glands will still be plugged? I see surgery as only being a temporary solution...

  • it depends on how bad yours are. I've had 8 chalazions and 2 surgerys. My chalazions come back but not in the same place. You can ask your doctor for eye drops, that's what i use. Otherwise you kinda just have to wait for them to go away

  • I just had this procedure done yesterday. The needle in the eyelid really is the worst part. They actually gave me like 5 shots, but you only feel the first one. They clamped my eyelid and flipped it and it caused me a little discomfort, not bad though. They dug the infection out and then put the patch on my eye... Now using Bacitracin ointment in the eye and waiting it out to heal... send me any questions you might have! It's good to know you aren't alone!

  • It may look really professional, but the patient undergoing the surgery will most likely suffer from dry eyes and maybe eyelid twitching in the future, due to the massive incision made on the eyelid.

the wound is more than 5mm long, causing damages to healthy tissues surrounding the chalazion.

however, "chalazion operation by docnehagala" video is a much better option :)

notice the incision made in this video. and the other video.

  • besides the longer healing time, what's the advantage of "the device?"

  • Hey guys guess what!

I had my son's chalazion removed!!!

I'm soo happy with it now.. it's over... thanks for replying to me dstrbd24!!!

  • hi, i need help guys...

my son have this exact same bulge on his left lower eyelid, now it's been 6 months that he's having it. we went to an opthalmologist like 3 weeks after it appreared and the doc said it should be surgically removed.

im scared of this because my son is only 4. is it safe for a young kid to undergo this kind of surgery??? and there's another one beginning to grow on his right upper eyelid! it's crazy..... how can ideal with this? im just a young mom and im really worried.

  • just put a warm compress(cloth) on it for 20 minutes 3 times a day and it should clear up in a week or so.

  • this doctor is really good at what he does!!!

  • I currently have a Chalzion on each eye and it sucks ass. I gotta get them removed in a week. This video is krazy.

  • Hey I was just wondering if you got your chalazions removed? How did it go?did they remove it all at the same time? I actually have 4 on both of my eyes=(((

  • it went fine. they screwed up the first time so i had to go in again :S it was a pain in my ass. u can definately feel them digging out all the muck though. i have a permanent scar over my left eye lid because they had to remove mine externally.

  • Well...I really hope I don't have to get this surgery.

  • It is PAINFUL if the surgeon doesn't do it correctly. I was six and I had this done. The shot was annoying. Imagine getting a need stuck into your eyelid...Immediately after that, they mad the incision. My eye wasn't even numb yet! So I, a six year old then, was screaming and crying the whole entire procedure!

  • that's awful, Sammy Sam Sam.

nevertheless, with such a localized incision it seems pretty normal to proceed moments after applying the anesthetic.

the problem was probably due to the fact that a child's pain tolerance is vastly different from that of an adult's (or even an adolescent's).

but I'm no doctor, I bet 95% of 6 year old's would have reacted the same way to an eye surgery regardless of the amount of pain.

  • I had 8 chalazions in the past, and I have never had it removed like that with lazor, I would like to know the location of this place, I think is the best method to get rid of chalazion. I had one removed to wks ago and I still had the chalazion, I had to go back to the Dr. and he gave me a steroid injection; now it has been 2 days after injection and I am starting to notice chalazion going down.

  • why are you so prone to chalazia?

  • i've had this procedure done twice now. it's not that bad, but the chalazion keeps coming back.

for those of you about to have it, make sure that you ask the doctor for pain medication before you leave the office. after the local wears off, it is uncomfortable and the hydros help that out.

    good luck!

  • if you dont put compresses on it rite away the pores can close up and then you have to get surgery. im 14 an ive had mine for 6 months and im finally getting it removed...

  • can they just put u 2 sleep

  • No it's really fast. About a few minutes.

  • lol nice background music would keep me worries free

  • o my god im gonna use warm compression as much as i can now....how do doctors do those things that was so nasty....i donno if i want 2 eat any time soon...i have mine bout 2 months now....i dont want the surgery

  • OH GOD. I hope mine go away with the warm compressions and ointment so i wont have to do this! SCARY T_T

  • i literally just popped mine by using the warm compression method. it took about 3 days of continuous warm compressions and then this morning it popped. i expect me eye to return to normal within 1-2 days

  • i'm just going to say now. Two of mine have popped in the past and one went away finee but the other one left my skin redish and very bumpy. xx

  • i think i might be getting it done tmrw. im 15. & terrified! i feel like im about to get on some scary roller coaster ride. im seriousss.! but uhmm can anyone tell me how the shot feels? and how long does the pain last? i have 3lumps on my left eye. has anyone experience getting 3lumps taking out? did it hurt? did the surgry take a while?

omg! im so scared noww! i wish the doctor had never told me how the shot was gunna be. i wish i had never seen this video!

  • i just had this done 3 days ago. i was scared too, but it was not bad at all. the worst part of it is getting the numbing shot. as far as the clamp goes.. you just feel a little bit of pressure. it doesn't hurt. there are no stitches to get after. you just have antibiotic eye drops. it just felt a little sore after like it was a little bruised. it will take 3-4 weeks to go away completely. the lump may swell a tiny bit but it is from blood filling in the hole.. not from oil. my eye looks better!

  • what happens after the surgery? can you just go back to doing normal things? or does it affect your eye sight for a while? what is the recovery period?

i have to get this surgery done and i am terrified.

  • Not to make n e one scared but THE CLAMP PART HURT BADLY. i had this surgery twice in the last year and my stye is still there..Yes they give u stiches.(most likely just one)..they give u needles around the eye to numb the area but u still feel the pressure.so painful=[ my stye is still here=[ but hope u have better luck then i did

  • whatever happened. Why was it still there after 2 operations?

  • Hurts badly

  • I have a q'. After surgery was done, If any stitches should be applied on the wound?

  • Does anyone know what Dr. did this precedure and where he is located? I would like to give him a try, I like his procedure best!

  • very good video. i've always wanted to see how the dr. removed my chalazions. I've had this procedure done twice! first was 5 years ago and the second almost 2 years ago. the second one was a nightmare, the eye drops didn't work and i tried all sorts of natural remedies... i finally went for the procedure, i had 4 lumps all together, 3 on my left and 1 on my right.

  • G8 video, im glad ive experienced this type of surgery visually b4 i have to go in2 theatre myself! Thanhs 2 all who tuk part in producing & posting. :]

  • I found the best way to keep a warm compress is warm a small potato in the microwave for 45 seconds, then wet a wash cloth and warm it for 15 seconds and wrap the potato. Test it for heat and it will keep warm longer than anything else. My Doctor told me about this and it is great. The expression hot potato is true. You can also after heating the potato put a wet paper towel around it. You can reuse the potato over and over again.

  • I just went to the hospital today for this and she prescribed me some antibiotic drops to try. i am scared about the procedure so I really really hope these drops do the trick. ive had it for about 3 months and I am really getting tired of no make-up!!!

  • yeah i got the same antibiotic drops and unless u use them right as the chalazion is developing it wont do anything. i got mine removed 3 days ago. it really isnt that bad

  • Oha, ne Chalazionresektion mit hilfe einer Kauterisation!

  • Well, I had this done on my upper eyelid in December... I was given drops, then an injection... I thought it was pretty numb, but I felt some extreme pressure and was clutching at my chair when I had it done. I think it depends on the person (typically, when I get any procedures done, I have to get a pretty high dose of anesthetic), whether you're supersensitive like I am or not. It hurt like hell for the night, but when I woke up next morning, it felt like I barely had anything done.

  • hoy m operaron de eso..dice el doc q era grande...:S..solo la anestecia y cuando m pusieron el aparato senti...despues de salir del luga m dolia bn feo.. pero m tome una pastilla y ya todo bn jej..=D

  • I have three, one in each lid, except the right top. The worst part about these things is that theres a stiffening of the entire lid itself, which im not sure goes away with time. Dig the retro porn music in the background by the way.

  • ouch what ever happened to your chalazia

  • How much does this cost for a person with no insurance?

  • i really need one but i dont know what hospital has does doctors.

  • I just had the same surgery today. I didnt feel a thing. The doc gave me some drops first, and then gave me an injection, no pain at all.

We even talked about daily thins, like the guy in the vid is doing.

    Its no big deal!

  • There is a chance it might get affected but its very small, they give you drops that you have to put in your eye 4 times a day for 7 days. The swelling takes a week to fully go away im on day 3 and the swelling is almost gone. I would recommend this surgery i had my chalazon for 6 months and i am happy its gone.

  • I just had the surgery and its not bad at all, the only thing you feel is the needle and that only hurts for like ten seconds. After the shot i didnt feel a thing and it was over in about 10 minutes. The video looks scary but when your the patient your eyes are closed so you dont see anything.

  • It's pretty simple, adnilio. you take a cloth, warm it up under tap water, and hold it on your closed eye with light-moderate pressure.

Cloth - 2.5 inches by 2.5 inches (8mm thick) is great size

Warmth - Above room temperature, approx. 60-75 degrees fahrenheit

Water - Squeeze the water out

Pressure - painless, hold it on your eye so that you feel pressure on eyelid and NOT eyeball

Note - do NOT overheat cloth. you WILL cause damage

Note - Use sterile gauze (clean - important)

  • and for how long are u gonna hold it too ur eye.

  • I will probably need to have this. That last part lokks like it really hurts. I just hope that mine heals up fast for school. Does the anesthesia make it so that you feel nothing on your eye?

  • what's up 68.

the healing process is directly proportional to how big your chalazion is. bigger the bump = longer the process. give it 14 days max though...the first two-three days are going to be quite strange.

also, You.Will.Feel.A LOT. it won't be painful, but it will be bothersome. i had two surgeries, both upper lid. first time i felt everything. second time i felt less.

Bottom Line: If you can watch this entire 5 minute video then you can certainly handle the surgery. trust me.

  • No, not for a while. However, you CAN definitely wear contacts & makeup later on into the future.

If you've had this operation, or if you've been advised to have this operation then wearing contacts and/or makeup should be far less of a priority than getting your eyelid back into shape.

You want your inner eyelids to be as moist as possible; contacts affect that.

Basically, b911; you'll probably want to wait atleast a couple weeks after the surgery (and the receding inflammation).

  • I have been getting these infrequently for about 2 years and so far they keep telling me that they are too small to operate. The lumps get bigger and then recede, so there is no telling when they will come. Every appointment seems to be when they are in the smaller stages. I ask about the contacts only because I am in law enforcement and glasses are somewhat dangerous. Contacts are just more practical. Thanks for the reply. Hope you are better. Any suggestions are appreciated.

  • how much does this type of surgery cost. Is it really expensive for someone without insurance??

  • $175.

    - and these are busy downtown Chicago rates. The doc usually charges $500 for suckers == i mean people with insurance.

you shouldn't have to pay more than $175 for the surgery.

think of this: the doctor earns $175 for a 15 minute procedure (actual surgery only last 5 minutes tho). that is a $700/hour pay rate...son-of-a-*****

  • I've got this operation, beside the needle in the eye lid I felt nothing, I was just very scared! but the needle hurts like hell...

  • I got this operation too, today. I agree, all I felt was the needle, and after that, nothing. Though I was shaking.

  • your Doctor was good if you felt nothing.

your Doctor probably was not a big fan of your shaking, though.

  • it takes 5 mins and hurts like fuck.

  • iv had this

its not as bad as it looks

    it took like 5 min

  • just got one of these today, but hell if I know if he did ALL that... just felt like some draining. Anyway I have to wear a patch for the rest of the day but yea, it takes like 5 mins and you hardly feel anything.

  • I have chalazion removal surgery in 2 weeks with Dr. Khan actually. I'm interested in knowing how much swelling and/or bruising there is and how long it lasts. Any help from anybody would be a big help. Thanks.

  • judging by your comment date and your operation date...your swelling has most likely gone away by now.

There is no visible bruising for internal excisions, yet there is swelling which typically lasts 1 week.

tell me about how your eye was the first few days after the surgery.

  • ahhhhhhh i just got one of those.

    heat compression isn't working

    it's been a frikin week!!!!!!!

    noooooooooooooooooooooooo

    T__________________________________T

    ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    i don't want surgery dammit!!!!!!!!!

    i'm scared. :/

  • I typed Chalazion just to see if there's a vid. Glad to see im not alone. I think I have one on my top eyelid. I thought it was cancer but apparently it isnt(thk God). What are hot compressions?

    Are there any home remedies?

  • i have one on my bottom lid...its been there for like 4 monthes! the cream the doctor gave me was ccrap and i REFUSE to get the surgury...i have been using hot compressions(they are basically warm/hot things u put on ur eye) and now it is going down...i was sopposed to get surgury like tht but now things are looking a little better!!!!!!

  • It said you replied to me but even if you didnt..check it out.

Mine seems to be going away or shrinking on its own. It was worse a month ago. But people are noticing that its shrinking. I only did the hot cmprs thing a few times but basically left it alone. It might go away naturally! Just to let you know.

  • what ever happened to your chalazion?

  • It dissappeared on its own.

  • cupcake,

I Would suggest getting the surgery. you've had the annoying chalazion for ONLY 4 months. you have the opportunity to get rid of the pesky problem quickly...that is a blessing. people have had these things for YEARS because they ignored it.

the longer you allow it to remain the greater the chance the condition will get worse (there is some ebb & flow).

true, the warm compresses work well (slowly), but at this stage the Chalazion can easily hide then pop back up worse than ever

  • omg i've been having one of those on the top of my eyelid! it blows!!! hot compresses blow too!!! does the eye stay purple like that? or is it because it's swollen from the draining??

  • OMG I have one of those im only 13 year old GIRL its small but ThE COMPRESSES ARENT working I dont want a needle in my eye ToT omg ill freak ill jump up and go blind I cant do thisss ToT!!!!!

  • just had chalazion surgery yesterday, im 15.

its not so bad. now my eye is draining. yuck.

  • why lose so much posterior lammella - a cicatricial entropion beckons

  • you obviously don't know what the hell your talking about. The surgeon in this video has done probably 10,000 of these and is a leading oculoplastic surgeon. "lamella" is spelled with one "M" schmuck.

  • Your name suggests you are oculoplastic and maybe the surgeon?

How can you say someone does n't know what the hell they are talking about when you know nothing about them? A doctor should never give other opinions such short shrift. My opinion and experience may actually be worth something. With regards to 'probably having done 10,000', if we assume a 30 yr career to date that's 6 a week. Would a leading oculoplastic surgeon really be devoting so much time to chalazion surgery? I think not.

  • Finally your last resort to deriding a typing error on the spelling of 'lamella' and calling me a penis (that's what a schmuck is if you did n't know) really is pathetic.

Why not engage in a clinical discussion of the technique? Is this how you would answer your critics at ASOPRS if they questioned you? It is quite simply my opinion that the technique, whilst removing the chalazion for sure, is unnecesarily destructive to the posterior lammmmela and a large enough case series would show this.

  • me too, this sucks

  • I have 2 of these on my right top eyelid. I ad to get those things drained. I got them cut from the outside. There is minimal scarring, that shit sucks. I had to get stitches right near my eyelashes!

  • I just got one of those a few days ago,

I thought they go away on it's own

    with heat compression overtime. o_O

  • Great Vid! Thanks for putting it up.
