yep.. me too.. PROACTIVE IS NOT EFFECTIVE AT ALL.. i've used it for almost 3 months.. at first month, there's effect but then breakouts still kept appearing.. hmm i'm gonna try this. thanks!! :)

I would like to say that I love your review on this product! I've used this product for almost a year now and it works better than proactive by far. Like probably every teen, I have very bad acne. I get pimples mostly on my cheeks and chin, and occasionally the forehead and nose. I hate it. This system calms my face and softens it too! I experimented using other products with this and it only ruins it. Anyway, I, too, recommend this product. ^_^

@xXPunkxJoyXx what's your routine with these products? because what i do is i take a shower n the morning and use the facewash n the shower then wen i get out i put the acne control stuff on then wen that drys i use the spf lotion. this doesn't seem to b working for me... i would love it if you could help me out(: thanks

@runningisthedrug What I do is I take a shower, let the warm water hit my face but I don't wash it with soap. That's what the acne control scrub is used for. After I wash up and dye up, you pat warm water on your face, since the heat of the shower opens my pores and message my face with the acne stuff. (circular motion). Use the acne lotion on my acne and waits til it dries. Then the lotion. Only use this product twice a day. Wash my face if sweaty. Never touch face. Worked so far. =)

I just wanted to emphasize what she said about the acne control lotion (with benzoyl peroxide)... it forms like a coat over your skin and it can be quite uncomfortable. I only use it at night to help control blemishes. :)

Only use the acne control lotion at night before bed. It dries and hardens like a mask. It works really well but it is uncomfortable. You get used to it though.

Im back on the system as of today so by the end of novemember i hope to see some results just like before.

If it didn't work, did you add hot water? Once my mom told me not to eat anything hot because it could affect my skin you know. So I tried to give up and it work :] But, if this wont help then you should ask a doctor about it.

hmm i was at a drug store yesterday (CVS) and i was aiming to purchase this product but i think i got the wrong one. Both of the boxes are orangy but mine doesnt say neutrogena on it. it says acne free and i got it for 20 bucks.

what you bought was compeletly different,it wasn't Neutrogena.What you bought is a different brand called acne free.If you have the receipt try to take it back .

Ive never used proactive personally but my friends that have used both have had better results with the Neutrogena. Everyones skin is different and nothing really completely gets rid of acne sadly.

Im not really sure if it would help acne scarring or scarring of any kind because I dont really have any but im pretty sure that this product would not work for that sort of thing. It does remove my blemishes but everyone is different, if you have severe acne with scarring a prescription strength treatment may be your best bet.

Well as I said I dont have very much acne to begin with but yes using the kit I did notice an improvement in my skin within two days and after using it for a few weeks I noticed the acne lotion clearing spots almost over night.

hi quick stupid question im kinda new to this but i dont have severe acne like yourself but i do have some breakouts here and there, but do i just rinse my face and then rub and apply all 3 at once, or like, when do i know when 2 switch creams after i apply them?

You use the cleanser to wash your face and then once you rinse off your face you apply the acne control gel and wait for it to dry and then apply the moisturizer...the kit comes with directions

hmm thats odd maybe it was a defect when it was produced that it just didnt have directions.  Looking at my kit right now there are directions on the back of each individual product. You rinse right away.

Great review! I just bought this kit today and I was extremely excited to use it. I, like you, don't have extreme acne. I only get break outs around certain times of the month. Proactive worked great all throughout high school but I think my skin became immune to it.

The one thing I have a question about is the spf lotion. Would I put that on at night or only before I go out in the sun?

It depends on your skin really. If you have dry skin that gets irritated when you wash it then yes use the lotion during the day and at night. If you have normal skin than I dont think the spf lotion is really needed at night as it may make your skin oily. Just try both ways to see what works best for you. :)

@syedabdullah1991 YES IT DID!!! :D I used to have bad really bad acne on my forehead and this cleared it right up. I think it's because it has a combination of salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. I have been using it ever since!
