It'd be like overhearing part of a wife and husband chatting at dinner in a restaurant when they occasionally get personal even though they're in public. Unless you develop some deep interest in their lives and start stalking them, listening up on every phone call and text they make, you're not going to make any real sense out of that one tidbit you overhear.

The government would have to be at least 50% of the size of the world's population, and spend all its time every day surveilling us in order to have the kind of intrusion you and Alex Jones and dozens of others of this sort talk about. They don't have the time (or the interest) to go through everybody's mundane emails -- most of which don't have much people would consider private or personal anyway.

What is so private about an email you send? Why does it bug you to the point of fear that ...
