My ex-wife decided she wanted do the secret. She wanted more than I was able to provide for her. She wanted a new car. She wanted new clothes. She wanted more that was outside our means to be able to pay for it. The house never got cleaned , she basically stopped being a house wife. Did as you said"sat in a corner meditating" and lost her "common sense". Got on her computer and starting hitting dating site. Finally we split.

Great video. Sometimes we have to experience the negatives to appreciate the positives. What would the world be like where just positive actions prevailed? The universe wouldn't be complete. We have positive/negative emotions for a reason. Who knows why? The only constant is that of change and i guess it's how we cope with our external/internal changes that matters. mark someone who subconsciously thinks and is positive wouldn't even be brought by the universe to a negative doctor to began with. Even if you did get a negative docor everything will be arranged as you constucted subconsciously. So if i see myself being healthy and I feel that emotion, guess what i dont care how negative the doctor is..im cured. Hi Mark, I get what you're saying and I do prefer it to a universal message of just being positive all the live long day. Surely it's unnatural to be excessively positive all the time, whatever your purpose. I don't find that do-able in a world like this, but I do agree in principle with trying to be as positive as possible and even suspending reality to 'think what I want in my life'.

You decide to have a bad day because of what they did. The key there is that "you decided". Sure, sometimes we get sick or hurt. Sometimes everything seems to go wrong. Sometimes people we care about get hurt. Sometimes people or things do bad things to us. But, even then, you are in control.
Well i agree with you. Most ppl get the impression that the secret or law of attraction is like magic. LOA won't put food in your mouth from just thinking about being full nor is it going to cure cancer by itself. What Esther/Abraham hicks also said is that you need to make peace with a problem not just ignore it. Dwelling in your problem is entirely different from thinking about ur problem but seeking a solution at the same time. Seeking a solution is a positive thing bcoz u feel good!

how do i know that the law of attraction is true, it's a theory, but i think itis just an idea I think, it is not what it has been made in the movie, it is all about hard work and results.

Thank you Mark. My sentiments exactly. Scam or not, I think "The Secret" was an empowering tool. However, I don't believe that there anything "mystical" or mysterious about it... It's just common sense psychology and/or life skills. If you like something that is practical to achieve (within possible limits), AND you work for it, you will most probably get to it sometime.

I just know me thinkning neagatively has brough much negative and when I feel better and think positive, I accomplish more. In my family the women cried all the time. They got sick when they had other issues unrelated to health. I have been under this for 41 years. so imagine my trial. Nut I slowly learning to use the law of attraction for good. It a little difficult because of the pattern I had in the past.

I'd like to see where you got the notion that we should not go to a doctor. Aside from the fact that medicines DO NOT CURE ANYONE and only deal with the symptoms. Our BODIES cure themselves, medicines DO NOT CURE our bodies. In fact cancer treatments more than not make things worse!

This is exactly why I made this video. I think that positive thinking is very important to helping our bodies cure themselves. But that doesn't mean that someone should abandon known treatments and medicines. Next time you come down with a serious infection, I wouldn't count on just positive thinking to make you well. I would highly advise taking the antibiotics that your doctor recommends as well. Same thing goes for cancer, snake bites, and athlete's foot.

well here in the real world of america...if you don't have money you will get turned away no matter how ill...ask Yale University Hospital. So what else is someone to do? Basically the Medical community in this country plays God everyday deciding who has enough money to be important enough to save. My 1 year old was turned away when she had Pneumonia because I wasnt aware My insurance had lapsed. She had to go elsewhere.

I have found that "the law of attraction" does work magically as opposed to focussing. This tends to be the dividing line between advocates of it. I agree that people should not ignore "doctors" and bills like you said. But "sitting in a corner" visualizing is enough. You can draw items into your life with NO ACTION. Action does amplify intent so is helpful, but it is "magical". I've seen to much to ever doubt that. good luck in your own discoveries.

Excellent post! I think that a lot of people (both pro and anti-Secret) conveniently missed the part in the documentary where they talk about the need to take action. Nobody who's done anything great in this world just sat around and visualized it into being. Rather, they became clear about what they wanted to do, and from that clarity, they knew what action would need to be taken to achieve the goal, and then they went out and did it.

The video has worked great for me and those that I choose to pay it forward to. It's a begging. Definitely not a definitive source. Sure beats those books in my undergraduate classes? My life has absolutely exploded.

Excellent insight. I have my own story dealing with "the secret".
My ex-wife decided she wanted do the secret. She wanted more than I was able to provide for her. She wanted a new car. She wanted new clothes. She wanted more that was outside our means to be able to pay for it. The house never got cleaned , she basically stopped being a house wife. Did as you said"sat in a corner meditating" and lost her "common sense". Got on her computer and starting hitting dating site. Finally we split.

Great video. Sometimes we have to experience the negatives to appreciate the positives. What would the world be like where just positive actions prevailed? The universe wouldn't be complete. We have positive/negative emotions for a reason. Who knows why? The only constant is that of change and i guess it's how we cope with our external/internal changes that matters. Maybe the LofA is one way to cope with all this change. Doesn't mean it's the only way or indeed right way. Think about it

They were explaining how everything is made up of energy and that the whole world is attracted to each other thru energy (like if you look at an atom, the nucleus has an energy surrounding you), thus if you send positive energy out, it makes the world positive and you will see positive things because we are all connected. mark someone who subconsciously thinks and is positive wouldn't even be brought by the universe to a negative doctor to began with. Even if you did get a negative docor everything will be arranged as you constucted subconsciously. So if i see myself being healthy and I feel that emotion, guess what i dont care how negative the doctor is..im cured. Hi Mark, I get what you're saying and I do prefer it to a universal message of just being positive all the live long day. Surely it's unnatural to be excessively positive all the time, whatever your purpose. I don't find that do-able in a world like this, but I do agree in principle with trying to be as positive as possible and even suspending reality to 'think what I want in my life'.

Well i agree with you. Most ppl get the impression that the secret or law of attraction is like magic. LOA won't put food in your mouth from just thinking about being full nor is it going to cure cancer by itself. What Esther/Abraham hicks also said is that you need to make peace with a problem not just ignore it. Dwelling in your problem is entirely different from thinking about ur problem but seeking a solution at the same time. Seeking a solution is a positive thing bcoz u feel good!

Thank you Mark. My sentiments exactly. Scam or not, I think "The Secret" was an empowering tool. However, I don't believe that there anything "mystical" or mysterious about it... It's just common sense psychology and/or life skills. If you like something that is practical to achieve (within possible limits), AND you work for it, you will most probably get to it sometime.

I just know me thinkning neagatively has brough much negative and when I feel better and think positive, I accomplish more. In my family the women cried all the time. They got sick when they had other issues unrelated to health. I have been under this for 41 years. so imagine my trial. Nut I slowly learning to use the law of attraction for good. It a little difficult because of the pattern I had in the past.

I hope you answer my point as I was going to say something about Abraham-Hick and I detect that you don't know about her.
She is who SushiOfficial is referring to.
If you do research into the LOA, she is the 'original' founder of LOA and the Producer of The Secret stole her 'product' (let's say).
You may wish to look up more about this.
Anyway, I personally can relate to the LOA, in particular, the NOT taking any action.

It *IS* very convenient that these authors DO NOT mention hardly ANYTHING about ACTION.
And that is why I rejected A-H material (I have books by her that I have not bothered reading) as it's all too 'nano-nano'.
I strongly suggest that you research her stuff, she does what is called 'channelling' (which *is* connecting with Spirit and does exist).

The Cancer Patient... or any problem in life...The Law of Attraction can bring the one doctor or medical science that cures the cancer. Of course one also has to take the massive action to find and maybe with coincidence factor in play...bring that cure in to ones life . I'd like to see where you got the notion that we should not go to a doctor. Aside from the fact that medicines DO NOT CURE ANYONE and only deal with the symptoms. Our BODIES cure themselves, medicines DO NOT CURE our bodies. In fact cancer treatments more than not make things worse!

This is exactly why I made this video. I think that positive thinking is very important to helping our bodies cure themselves. But that doesn't mean that someone should abandon known treatments and medicines. Next time you come down with a serious infection, I wouldn't count on just positive thinking to make you well. I would highly advise taking the antibiotics that your doctor recommends as well. Same thing goes for cancer, snake bites, and athlete's foot.

The movie is what it is, it's a movie...period. It is an INTRODUCTION for those that haven't figured out how what they think affects their lives, and to introduce the TEACHERS and the products they sell to help.
There's more to it than sitting and thinking positive thoughts all day...lol
Everything in LIFE requires an action and to have to tell these people means they really missed the boat...and unfortunately they need to educate themselves...

well here in the real world of america...if you don't have money you will get turned away no matter how ill...ask Yale University Hospital. So what else is someone to do? Basically the Medical community in this country plays God everyday deciding who has enough money to be important enough to save. My 1 year old was turned away when she had Pneumonia because I wasnt aware My insurance had lapsed. She had to go elsewhere.

Find out what floats your own individual boat. You dont need the approval of what anyone else says. Yes get a doctor that speaks of alternative cures outside of the box. People have missed the points and truth behind the Law of Attraction because the movie the secret has kept back the real secret of the Law of Attraction.
The movie itself was originally created based ONLY on the work of Jerry & Esther Hicks who were violated by Rhonda Byrne and tried to take the intellectual property rights to the real secrets and lost.
So she ended up with a very weak truth to share.
Did she care that so many spent their whole dollar on less than half of a product?

You are so right! People get a bit out of wack with all this stuff, and forget common sense. At the same time, if used the right way, it can help a ton. Focus and Action. The Secret and Law of Attraction people should incorporate this into their program!

I have found that "the law of attraction" does work magically as opposed to focussing. This tends to be the dividing line between advocates of it. I agree that people should not ignore "doctors" and bills like you said. But "sitting in a corner" visualizing is enough. You can draw items into your life with NO ACTION. Action does amplify intent so is helpful, but it is "magical". I've seen to much to ever doubt that. good luck in your own discoveries.

The problem with this law of attraction is that most of us only do this for ourselves ...... we only do it to have materislistic possesions for our selves.....But life is not just all about self fullfilment (not allways personal) but to help others who are less fortunate than your self aswell.....
Do use the Law of Attraction but not just to have more but also to be more....so to help others too....

LOA brings new, previously unrecognized opportunity that has always existed.
Too many have thought LOA to merely be positive thought = positive final manifestation.

Law of attraction is like a double ended sword, those against it may as well state Have you heard about FIRE? it is dangerous! dont ever use it. But Law of Attraction in its righteousness (and righteousness, derives from the aramiac word of right-use)can be used for beneficial means or to those detriminentally. Thought and action.

So the righteousness of God, is the right-use of Gods laws. Law of Attraction used righteously is there to benefit, if used wisely.

Excellent post! I think that a lot of people (both pro and anti-Secret) conveniently missed the part in the documentary where they talk about the need to take action. Nobody who's done anything great in this world just sat around and visualized it into being. Rather, they became clear about what they wanted to do, and from that clarity, they knew what action would need to be taken to achieve the goal, and then they went out and did it.

I agree with your message on this but the "Secret" and the law of attraction are a surfaced based understanding of something called the "Master Key System" writen in 1909 by Charles Hannel. The "Secret" in respects mis leads people into thinking that it's just about positive thought. It's not actually even about positive thought as it is about thought it's self. I agree 100% with this video. Why on earth would you reject medical or other help thinking that you can't use the Law of Attraction AND medical technology? Why would you do this in any other area? Use BOTH. It's not an either/or equation. It's also not a "lazy man's way to wealth and power." It can ba way to wealth and power, but not by using it as an excuse to sit on your ass and make stupid decisions.

It like working for working. And the other thing, if you visualise money, ok it may come to you, but in what ways and how? Alister Crowley, in his experiments he did the same thing, he was visualising money but he was sitting at home and he was waiting money to show up. He failed, but then he understood that missing link-Action. Also never i mean never visualise money, cause money is not your goal, money is just a instrument for achiving your goals. So if you want to go to that expensive exotic vacantion, you will not visualise money you need, but the vacation itself

I dont have the money to make more money. There is so much I want to do with my life but money is the main thing always telling me NO you cant do that. So I obey what it says and hopefully one day it will be nice to me. Ya ... lol

Money can be an obstical. But $500 is not that hard to obtain. If you want it bad enough. What I sense from you is that you are not ready to move beyond your current issues. "Bummer" is the overall feeling I get from your comments. You have to rise above it. It is not easy. At the same time, it is often not hard. The first step is the hardest. OK. I see what you are saying. What I was trying to say is that we are all free to be who we can be. For example, We are not forced to work at a factory... that is an illusion. We have the ability to create our futures and basically start fresh. We sometimes "allow" ourselves to be trapped. We say that we can't before we think it through. If you wanted to live in Australia...what is stopping you? Couldn't you sell every thing you own, and just go?!!!

Thoughts can betray you or enhance your life. It's not about "thinking positive" Thinking Positive in a situation where your life is going wrong, won't work. You first need to change your patterns of thought. Example: You close the door on your thumb and your instant response is to say; "Oh that figures, just my luck!" That is a pattern type thinking. Instead of thinking this way you would say: "Wow I can't believe I just did that. That never happens to me"

But on a side note you seen like you genuinely care For all those getting caught up in the emotional effects of this movie. thank you for caring enough to help those of us Who want so badly to believe in miracles and fairy tales to fix Our lives. i do wish that was the case but i have always been naive.

Life itself can be magic. Knowing that you can make things happen, and that most of the limits that you think you have don't really exsist is magic. You don't have to do anything, and you can try to do anything.... that is the real magic. If you learn to see life for all it can be, you will be impowered. The name "the secret" is really just great marketing. It really is just a different paradigm than we were taught. It transends the status quo.
